Alright, so I finally got around to checking out that new 1.1 banner in Wuthering Waves today. Been hearing bits and pieces about it, so thought I’d dive in and see what’s what.
Getting Started
First thing, logged into the game. Had to wait through the usual loading screens, you know how it is. Once I was in, I went straight to the Convene section. That’s where they keep all the banners.
I’d saved up a bit of Astrite, not a massive amount, but enough to do a few pulls. Didn’t really have a specific plan, just wanted to try my luck, maybe snag one of the new characters they were showing off.
Doing the Pulls
So, I located the specific 1.1 event banner. Looked shiny enough. Decided to start with a 10-pull, seems more efficient usually.
- First 10-pull: Clicked the button. Watched the animation. Mostly got the standard 3-star stuff, weapons mostly. One 4-star character I already had. Nothing too exciting, pretty standard opening pull.
- Second 10-pull: Thought, okay, let’s go again. Same process. Click, watch, hope. This time, slightly better. Got a different 4-star weapon I didn’t have yet, which was cool. Still no sign of the featured 5-star though.
- Getting Closer?: Checked my pity count. Still a ways off the guarantee. Debated doing single pulls or another ten. Decided to just commit to another ten. What the heck, right?
- Third 10-pull: And there it was! Saw that gold animation flare up. Heart does that little jump thing, you know? Waited to see who it would be.
The Results
Turned out, I actually got the featured 5-star character from the banner! Pretty stoked about that. Didn’t even have to go all the way to the pity limit, which saved me a bunch of Astrite. Felt like a win.
Alongside the big prize, I picked up another couple of 4-star characters in that final pull too. Some duplicates for Resonance, which is always handy I guess.
Overall Thoughts
So yeah, that was my experience with the 1.1 banner today. Went in with some saved currency, did about 30 pulls total. Walked away with the main character I was kinda hoping for, plus some useful 4-stars. Didn’t break the bank, didn’t have terrible luck. Pretty decent session, I’d say. Now I gotta figure out how to build this new character…
