Okay, so I tried to do this War Games WWE thing today. I heard it’s some kind of crazy match from the old days, like NWA or WCW, or something. I don’t know the details, just it was good stuff.
First, I tried to figure out what the hell it was. It seemed like there were a bunch of these matches over the years, on pay-per-view and TV. NWA, WCW, even NXT and WWE, man, they all had their hands on it.
I started with the one from Great American Bash 1987. July 4th, in Atlanta, was a hell of an event.
- I pulled up some old videos.
- Tried to see how the match was set up.
- It was wild, man. Two rings, a giant cage.
I got into this rabbit hole, watching a bunch of these matches. Dusty Rhodes, Ric Flair, The Four Horsemen – all these legends were in there, beating the crap out of each other.
Getting Into the Game
Next, I tried to see if I could find this in the recent WWE games. I fired up my console, loaded the latest game, and started poking around.
- Checked the match types.
- Looked through the settings.
- Didn’t find it right away.
It wasn’t easy, I had to do a lot of searching online. Found some forums, some old posts from people who were just as confused as me.
Finally Figuring It Out
Turns out, it wasn’t in the regular match options, I had to do some other stuff to unlock it, play through certain modes, achieve some goals, whatever.
- Played through some career mode.
- Did some challenges.
- Finally, I got it. War Games was there.
Man, when I finally set it up, it was awesome. Two rings, the cage, the teams. It felt like I was back in the ’80s, watching those old-school matches.
Playing the Match
I picked my team, chose my opponents, and got into it. The match was nuts. Guys coming in one by one, weapons, chaos everywhere. It was hard, but it was fun.
- Fought my way through.
- Tried to use the cage to my advantage.
- Got my ass kicked a few times.
I finally managed to win. It felt great, like I really accomplished something. I can see why people loved this match so much back in the day.
So, that was my day messing with War Games in WWE. It was a trip, going from not knowing anything about it to actually playing it. It’s a cool piece of wrestling history, and I’m glad I got to experience it.
