Okay, so, it was a Monday night, and I was all set to watch the 29th episode of WWE Raw. This show, man, it’s been around since, like, January 1993. It’s the longest-running weekly episodic series on TV! I always make sure to catch it live, but I heard that if you miss it, the new episodes are available for streaming right after the show ends. I think the show usually runs for about 3.5 hours, which is a good chunk of wrestling action.
I heard a while back that Netflix struck a massive deal to broadcast Raw, you know, that $5 billion deal. It made Netflix the exclusive home for Raw in a bunch of countries like the US, Canada, the UK, and Latin America, with plans to add more countries later on. It’s a big move for wrestling fans worldwide, I gotta say.
I got myself some snacks, settled into my couch, and tuned in. The show was broadcasted from the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. I heard some rumors about the card, and let me tell you, it was stacked! There were some intense feuds that had been building up, and I was pumped to see how they would play out.
Here are some of the things I remember:
- Made some preparations: First off, I grabbed some snacks and drinks because, you know, you can’t watch wrestling without some munchies. Then I made sure my internet connection was solid because the last thing I wanted was buffering during a crucial match.
- Tuned in live: I got my setup ready and tuned into the live broadcast. It was cool knowing that I was watching it as it happened, along with tons of other fans around the world.
- Watched the show: I got totally engrossed in the show. The matches were intense, and the storylines kept me hooked the whole time. It’s always exciting to see how the feuds develop and who comes out on top.
- Kept up with news: Before the show, I had checked out some wrestling sites to get the latest news and rumors. It added to the excitement, knowing what might be coming.
- Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes: World heavyweight champion Seth Rollins showed his support for Cody Rhodes before WrestleMania 40. That was a pretty big moment, seeing these two powerhouses interact.
- Six Pack Challenge: They announced a Six Pack Challenge for the U.S. Title at Night of Champions. That got me hyped because these multi-man matches are always chaotic and fun to watch.
- Tag Team Action: Kofi Kingston, MVP, and Primo defeated The Big Show. That was a solid match with some great teamwork and high-flying action.
