Okay, so, let’s talk about that WWE event in North Charleston, SC, back in 2024. I’ve been a wrestling fan since I was a kid, so when I heard they were coming to town, I knew I had to be there.
First things first, I had to get my hands on some tickets. This wasn’t my first rodeo, so I hopped online right when they went on sale. I hit up the North Charleston Coliseum’s website, and luckily, there were still some decent seats left. Scored a couple for me and my buddy who’s also a huge wrestling fan. We got them for the March 17th show – Sunday night, prime time!
Next up, I started looking into what the event was actually about. Turns out, it was part of the “Road to WrestleMania” tour. Basically, it’s where all the wrestlers are fighting it out to get a spot at WrestleMania, which is like the Super Bowl of wrestling. And get this, WrestleMania was going to be in Philadelphia for the first time in 25 years, and it’s a huge two-day event. That got me even more hyped!
Fast forward to the day of the event, we got to the Coliseum early to soak in the atmosphere. The place was buzzing with energy. Everyone was decked out in their favorite wrestler’s gear, chanting and cheering. It was awesome.
- R-Truth took on Dominik. That was a fun one to start the night. R-Truth, the veteran, pulled off the win.
- Then there was this Street Fight main event. Cody Rhodes against Drew McIntyre, a real nail-biter right there. Cody ended up winning that one.
- They also had a Women’s World Title match. Rhea Ripley was defending her title against Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax. It was a three-way fight, and Rhea managed to hold onto her belt.
- And there was this other match where OMOS, with MVP in his corner, went up against some other guy. OMOS totally crushed him.
Here’s a rundown of the matches we saw:
Man, the whole night was just electric. The crowd was wild, the matches were intense, and it all felt like a big preview of what was to come at WrestleMania. I also heard that NXT Stand & Deliver was going down in April, but I didn’t get to that one. It also seems that the wrestling events will continue to stream on Peacock in the United States.
All in all, it was an unforgettable night. Being there, in the thick of it, with all those other fans, it’s an experience I won’t forget. I even heard a rumor about some event called Goosemas Bingo at the same venue in December. I don’t know anything about that but it sounds funny.
If you’re a wrestling fan and you ever get a chance to go to one of these live events, do it. Trust me, it’s worth it.
