Okay, so today I messed around with “Selkirk Jack Sock”. I’d heard some buzz about it, and figured, why not give it a shot? I’m always up for trying new pickleball gear.

Getting Started
First, I grabbed the sock. It’s basically this… sleeve thing, made for your paddle. Pretty straightforward, you know?
The Process
I slipped it onto my paddle. It was a little snug, which I guess is a good thing. You don’t want it sliding around while you’re playing. My paddle at home is Selkirk, it is easy to put on.
- Tried a few practice swings. Felt… different. Not bad, just different.
- Played a couple of casual games with my friend.
- It also protects my paddle in my bag,it won’t get scratched .
My Thoughts
Honestly, I’m not totally sure how much it changed my game. I’m not a pro or anything, just your average weekend player. Maybe it dampened some vibration? It does added a bit of a cushioned feel, which was kind of nice.
Did it magically make me play better? Nah. But it did feel a little different, and maybe, just maybe, it helped with a bit of control. Plus, my paddle looked kind a cool on the court.
It is a good experience for me, and it not bad to have a try!
