Okay, so I got curious about who the tallest NFL player is. It’s one of those random things that just pops into your head, you know? So, I decided to do a little digging and find out.
Started with a simple search
First, I just did a simple search on a search engine. I typed in “who is the tallest NFL player” and waited for the results to pop up. A bunch of websites showed up, all with slightly different answers. It was a bit confusing, to be honest.
Looked into a few names
There were a few names that kept coming up. One was Dan Skipper, who’s apparently 6’9″. Then there was Caleb Jones, also listed at 6’9″. And of course, Roy Mbaeteka, who is 6’9″ too.
Checked out some sports news sites
After that, I decided to check out some of the big sports news websites. You know, the usual suspects. They had articles about the tallest players, but again, the information wasn’t totally consistent. Some said Dan Skipper was the tallest, others said it was a tie between a few guys.
Found some old records
I even found some stuff about really old records, like from way back in the day. There were some guys listed at 6’10” or even taller, but it was hard to verify that information. Plus, were those measurements even accurate back then? Who knows.
Made a little list
So, I made a little list of the names I found and their heights:
- Dan Skipper – 6’9″
- Caleb Jones – 6’9″
- Roy Mbaeteka – 6’9″
Came to a conclusion (sort of)
In the end, it seems like there isn’t one single answer to who the tallest NFL player is right now. It looks like it’s probably a tie between Dan Skipper, Caleb Jones and Roy Mbaeteka, all at 6’9″. They are all giants! As for the past, there might have been even taller players, but it’s hard to say for sure.
Anyway, that was my little adventure into the world of tall NFL players. It was a fun little research project, even if I didn’t get a definitive answer. Maybe I’ll look into the shortest players next time!
