So, I was scrolling through my feed today, and guess what kept popping up? Rhea Ripley. You know, the wrestler? At first, I was like, “Okay, whatever,” but then it got me thinking. I started digging around a bit to see what all the fuss was about.
First thing I did was check out some recent news. Turns out, there’s some drama going on with her and this guy, Dominik Mysterio. Apparently, they were tight, but then he tried to get back with someone called “Mami,” and now she’s not trusting him anymore. Sounds like a soap opera, right? Anyway, I thought that was pretty interesting. Liv Morgan might kick Dominik Mysterio out of The Judgment Day because of this. I gotta keep an eye on this drama.
Then I went down the rabbit hole of her career history. Did you guys know she was the first wrestler to win both the NXT and NXT UK Championships? That’s crazy! I found out she did that back on December 18, 2019. I mean, that’s some serious skills. It’s wild to think about how much she’s accomplished. She is the first wrestler to win NXT and NXT UK Championship. That made me respect her a lot more.
Personal Life
And it turns out she’s not single. She’s married to Buddy Matthews, who is a wrestler in AEW. He used to be with WWE as Buddy Murphy. That’s a wrestling power couple if I ever saw one. I also found that Mysterio is married to Marie Juliette. Good for them!
A Serious Note
But then things took a turn. I saw that back in April 2021, she had to deal with some racist comments about her then-boyfriend. It’s so messed up that people still act like that. She took to Instagram on April 16 to condemn racist comments made about her boyfriend. I felt really bad for her. No one should have to deal with that kind of hate. She condemned racist comments. I’m glad she stood up for herself and her man.
