Today, I wanted to try something new, something I saw online called “carol cena”. It sounded interesting, so I decided to give it a shot. Here’s how it went:
Getting Started
First, I needed to figure out what this whole “carol cena” thing actually was. I did some digging around and found out it’s about creating a festive, kind of Christmas-y scene, but with a twist. The “cena” part seems to refer to a dinner or a gathering, so I aimed for that kind of vibe.
Gathering My Supplies
I didn’t have a clear list of what I needed, so I just grabbed stuff that felt right:
- Some colorful lights: I found some old string lights I had stashed away. Figured these would be perfect for setting the mood.
- Construction paper: I had a bunch of different colors, so I grabbed those. I thought I could maybe make some cutouts or something.
- Scissors and tape: Essential for any kind of crafting project, right?
- Some random decorations: I found some tinsel, a few ornaments, and even a little Santa hat. Why not?
The Process
Okay, so I had my stuff. Now what? I started by draping the lights around my workspace. This instantly made things feel a bit more festive. Then, I started messing around with the construction paper. I cut out some basic shapes, like stars and circles, and taped them to the wall. It was pretty simple, but it started to look kind of cool.
I added the tinsel around the edges of the table, and placed the ornaments strategically. The Santa hat went on top of my monitor, because…well, it just felt right.

The Result
Honestly, it wasn’t anything spectacular, but it was fun! It definitely brightened up my space and gave it a bit of a quirky, festive feel. I wouldn’t say it was a masterpiece, but it was a nice little experiment. It’s like a mini, personalized holiday setup. I might even keep it up for a while!
I think next time I’ll try to add a little bit more detail, improve light setting.
