Alright, let’s talk about this… uh… “ohtani backpack”, whatever that fancy name means. I ain’t got no fancy learnin’, so I’ll just tell it to ya straight, like it is.
So, this “ohtani backpack” thing, it’s a bag, right? A thing you put stuff in. Back in my day, we used burlap sacks, or maybe a basket if we were feelin’ fancy. But these young folks, they gotta have their special names for everything. Ohtani… sounds like somethin’ you’d yell when you stub your toe, not a bag!
Now, what’s a feller gonna use this backpack for? Well, I reckon it’s for carryin’ things. You got your youngsters goin’ to school, they need a place to put their books and pencils. Don’t know why they need so many books, back in my day, one slate and a piece of chalk was enough. But times change, I guess. They probably got books about this Ohtani feller, whoever he is. Maybe he’s a ball player? I hear tell they make big money these days, thumpin’ around a ball.
- Maybe it’s for goin’ to the store, carryin’ your groceries. But I don’t see how it’d hold much. A good ol’ canvas bag, that’s what I use. Sturdy and strong, won’t rip on ya like some of them fancy things.
- Or maybe it’s for goin’ on a trip? Like them young folks do, traipsin’ around the world. Back in my day, a trip was goin’ to the next town over, and you carried your things in a bindle. But these backpacks, they got all sorts of pockets and zippers. Seems complicated, if you ask me.
Now, I seen some pictures of these backpacks online, the neighbor boy showed me. They come in all sorts of colors and styles. Some are plain and simple, others are all flashy and bright. Got all sorts of straps and buckles, and whatnots. Seems like more trouble than it’s worth, all that fussin’. But I guess folks like to look nice, even when they’re just carryin’ their stuff around.
And the price? Don’t even get me started. Some of them cost more than a good mule! Back in my day, you could get a whole set of clothes for what these backpacks cost. But I guess that’s how it is these days. Folks got more money than sense, spendin’ it on things they don’t really need.
I reckon you could probably find these “ohtani backpacks” at all sorts of places. Them big stores in the city, the ones that sell everything from clothes to TVs. Or maybe even online, though I don’t trust that internet much. Too much hocus pocus for my likin’. Probably some fella sittin’ in his basement, sellin’ you a bag full of hot air.
They probably got different kinds too, for different things. Like them sporty folks, they need backpacks for their gear. And the hikers, they got special ones for carryin’ water and snacks. And then you got the fancy ones, made of leather and whatnot. Probably cost an arm and a leg, those ones. But like I said, folks got more money than sense these days.
So, that’s my take on this “ohtani backpack” thing. It’s a bag, plain and simple. Nothin’ fancy, no matter what them city folks try to tell ya. You put your stuff in it, you carry it around. That’s all there is to it. And if you ask me, a good ol’ canvas bag does the job just fine. But hey, what do I know? I’m just an old woman who’s seen a thing or two.
But if you’re gonna get one, make sure it’s sturdy, mind you. No point in gettin’ something that’ll fall apart after a few uses. Get somethin’ that’ll last. And make sure it’s comfortable, too. Ain’t nothin’ worse than luggin’ around a heavy bag that digs into your shoulders.
And don’t go spendin’ a fortune on it, neither. There’s plenty of good bags out there that won’t break the bank. Just gotta use your common sense, that’s all. Somethin’ young folks these days seem to be lackin’. Always chasin’ the latest trends, without stoppin’ to think if they actually need it.
So there you have it, my thoughts on this “ohtani backpack.” Take it or leave it, it’s just my two cents. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go feed the chickens.
