Alright, let’s talk about these here “Red City Connect Jersey” things. I ain’t no fancy sports expert, ya hear? But I see these things on TV and in the stores, and folks are wearin’ ’em, so I figured I’d tell ya what I know.
Seems like every baseball team got these new-fangled jerseys now. They call ’em “City Connect” jerseys. I guess they’re supposed to be special, like showin’ off where the team comes from. You know, like how we got that big ol’ oak tree in the town square – it kinda says somethin’ about our town.
I heard tell some of them jerseys are real popular. Folks was sayin’ on the TV that the Colorado Rockies got one that folks liked a whole lot. Said it looked “fresh and classic,” whatever that means. Sounded like somethin’ you’d say about a fresh batch of biscuits, but what do I know?
- They got a bunch of these jerseys comin’ out this year too.
- Teams like the Dodgers, the Mets, and even them Cardinals gonna have new ones.
- I reckon that’s a lot of jerseys, ain’t it?
Now, these “Red City Connect Jersey” things… well, they must be for a team that wears red, right? I’m guessin’ it’s that Cincinnati Reds team. I seen ’em play on TV once. They got some fellas that can really smack that ball, that’s for sure. You can buy these jerseys and shirts, they say. Even get ’em with your name on the back, just like them fancy players.
They say you can go to the Reds Hall of Fame shop and get it done right then and there. Takes about 15 minutes, and costs a bit extra, maybe 20 dollars more they said. But I reckon if you want your name on it, you gotta pay for it. Nothin’ in life is free, that’s for sure. Or you can order it online I hear, just like you order everything else these days.
And it ain’t just the Reds. That Boston Red Sox team, they got their own “City Connect” stuff too. Seems like everybody’s gettin’ in on this jersey business. You can find ’em at that Dick’s Sporting Goods store, or at the MLB Shop, wherever that is. Probably online, like I said.
These jerseys are supposed to be about the city, you know? Like that Boston one, they say it looks like somethin’ from that big runnin’ race they have there, the Boston Marathon. So, I guess the Red City Connect Jersey is supposed to be somethin’ special about Cincinnati. Maybe it’s got somethin’ to do with that river they got there, or maybe it’s about them chili dogs they like so much. I ain’t sure.
But one thing’s for sure, folks are buyin’ these jerseys. They want to show their support, I guess. They want to stand out from the crowd, wear somethin’ different. Me? I’m happy with my old cotton shirt. But hey, if folks wanna spend their money on these Red City Connect Jerseys, that’s their business. It ain’t hurtin’ nobody, far as I can see.
So, if you’re lookin’ for a Red City Connect Jersey, you know where to go now. Just remember, it’s gonna cost ya. And it ain’t gonna make you hit that ball any harder, that’s for sure. But if it makes you feel good, I reckon that’s all that matters.
