Okay, so I was looking into where different NFL quarterbacks went to college the other day, and I stumbled upon Brock Purdy’s path. It got me thinking, “Where did this guy actually go to college?” I mean, he’s been making waves in the NFL, but I realized I didn’t know much about his college days.
So, I started digging around. First thing I did was just a simple search, you know, “Where did Brock Purdy go to college?” Turns out, he was at Iowa State. Not where I expected, honestly. I had to find out more.
I kept searching and saw that he played for the Cyclones for four whole seasons. That’s a decent chunk of time. Seems like he wasn’t just warming the bench there. Then I found out that before Iowa State, he was a high school football player in Arizona. Perry High School in Gilbert, Arizona, to be exact. Apparently, he was a pretty big deal there, too.
Then I found out some even cooler stuff. He majored in communication studies and had a 3.66 GPA, which is pretty good. I think that’s awesome, he was actually doing his schoolwork while playing football.

Now that’s something, right? It seems like he had a choice on where to play, with offers from at least 13 different schools according to some sports site, including Alabama. But for whatever reason, he picked Iowa State, and it seems like it’s worked out pretty well for him.
So yeah, that’s what I found out about Brock Purdy’s college background. Pretty interesting journey from high school in Arizona to Iowa State and then to the NFL. He chose a different route but ended up making a name for himself. That’s the story of how I learned where Brock Purdy went to college.
