Well, let me tell ya ’bout this gal, Ember Moon. Heard a buncha stuff ’bout her, ya know? Folks sayin’ she used to wrestle on TV. Big-time wrestling, they say.
Now, I ain’t no expert on this rasslin’ stuff. But from what I gather, Ember Moon, or whatever her real name is – Athena, I think some folks call her – she got the boot from that big company, WWE, back in November, sometime last year or the year before, I can’t rightly recall. Time flies, ya know?
Seems like they didn’t know what to do with her. They put her on this show, NXT, then changed it all up. Made it all new and flashy, and poor Ember, she just got lost in the mix. Can you believe it? They even had her wrestling on this other show, 205 Live. Sounded like a demotion to me. Like sendin’ a good farmhand to muck out the pigsty.
- They shuffled her around
- Then, poof! Gone.
- Just like that.
It’s a shame, really. Folks say she was good, real good. But these big companies, they don’t care ’bout that. They want what’s new, what’s shiny. They don’t appreciate the old-timers, the ones who know their stuff. Reminds me of them city folks comin’ out here, tryin’ to tell us how to farm. They don’t know nothin’ ’bout workin’ the land, just like them wrestling folks didn’t know what to do with Ember.
Now, I heard she knew she wasn’t gonna stick around with them WWE folks. Said she wasn’t gonna sign no more papers for ’em. Smart girl, I reckon. If they ain’t treatin’ you right, you gotta go your own way. And that’s what she did, or so the story goes.
They let her go a few days after she made up her mind, or so I heard. Probably didn’t like her standin’ up to ’em. These big companies, they like to be in charge. Don’t like nobody talkin’ back.
But Ember, she seems tough. She’s probably doin’ alright. Maybe she’s wrestlin’ somewhere else. Maybe she’s teachin’ young’uns how to wrestle. Or maybe she’s just takin’ a break, sittin’ on her porch, sippin’ lemonade. Good for her, I say. She deserves it after all that mess.
It ain’t easy, ya know, bein’ a woman in this world. You gotta fight for everything you get. And even then, sometimes it ain’t enough. But you gotta keep on fightin’, keep on pushin’. That’s what my mama always told me, and I reckon it’s true.
So, here’s to Ember Moon, or Athena, or whatever she wants to be called. I hope she’s happy and doin’ what she loves. And I hope them big wrestling folks learned a lesson or two. You can’t just toss people aside like they don’t matter. Everybody deserves a chance to shine.
Wrestling, farmin’, it’s all the same in the end. You gotta work hard, you gotta be tough, and you gotta stand up for what you believe in. And that’s what Ember Moon did, best I can tell. Good for her, I say. Good for her.
And that’s all I gotta say about that. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on my chickens.
