Alright, so I wanted to play against my friends in MLB The Show 24, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey to figure it out. I mean, I’m no tech wizard, but I figured it couldn’t be that hard, right?
First, I launched the game and poked around the main menu. I spotted something called “Online Modes.” Bingo! That sounded like the place to be. I clicked on that.
Then, I saw an option that said “Play vs Friends.” Perfect! I selected that, and it took me to another screen. This is where I got a little stuck for a minute. I was looking for a way to invite my buddies, but it wasn’t super obvious at first.
I noticed a tab on the right side of the screen labeled “Friends.” Clicked on it. Yep, that was it! A list of all my friends popped up, and I could even see who was online at that moment. Then it was pretty simple. I just found my friends’ names on the list and sent them invites right from there.
We also tried to play local multiplayer one day. That was a lot easier. There’s a ‘Multiplayer’ menu and then I just hit ‘Local’ and we were good to go on the same console.
Oh, and one time we wanted to do a 2v2 match. For that, we went back to “Online Modes” and found something called “Co-Op.” From there, I could either invite a friend to team up with me, or we could just get matched up with another pair of players.
But when we tried to play together, we couldn’t figure it out, we were so bad at playing games. Playing online was a little bit difficult, and we didn’t know how to play well.
I’ll say we tried another funny idea. You know, like a handicap system. We divided up the good cards among the team. Like, you can only pick a certain number of gold players and put them wherever you want.
Finally
So yeah, that’s pretty much how I figured out how to play against my friends in MLB The Show 24. It took a little trial and error, but we got there eventually. If you are trying to play with your friends, just head over to online mode, find play vs friends and check your friends’ list. You will be fine. Now we’re having a blast playing together, and that’s what really matters, right?
