‘s wild, right? I mean, the guy absolutely crushed it on the course last year and it’s definitely reflected in his bank account.
From what I’ve been reading, Viktor made a whopping $34.6 million in 2023 alone! To put that into perspective, that’s more than half of his entire career earnings, which are sitting at a cool $55.8 million. So yeah, he had a pretty good year.
Where did all that cash come from? Well, a big chunk of it, $14 million to be exact, came from official events. That’s a lot of money, but it’s actually a little less than what he made in official events in 2022, which was $16.8 million. So, it seems like he’s been consistently killing it on the tour for a while now.
He also made $1.1 million from unofficial events and $1.4 million from the ComCast Business Tour Top 10, which is kind of like a bonus for being one of the best players in the game. So all those extra events and bonuses definitely added up for him last year.
You know what really boosted his earnings though? That massive $18 million FedEx Cup bonus! He won the FedEx Cup Playoffs, and that win alone was the biggest one-year payday in PGA Tour history. Talk about a good day at the office!
I’m not going to lie, I’m a little jealous! I mean, I wouldn’t mind being able to buy a new car with my golf winnings, but I think I’m going to stick to my day job for now.
Here’s a breakdown of his earnings for 2023:
Earnings Category | Amount |
---|---|
Official Events | $14 million |
Unofficial Events | $1.1 million |
ComCast Business Tour Top 10 | $1.4 million |
FedEx Cup Bonus | $18 million |
Total Earnings | $34.6 million |
It’s also worth noting that Viktor’s earnings were $32.1 million in the 2022-23 PGA Tour season. He’s clearly on a roll, so I’m really interested to see what he can do this year! I think we’ll see even bigger numbers coming his way soon.
Let me know what you think! Do you think Viktor will break his own record for the biggest one-year payday in PGA Tour history this year? I think it’s definitely possible!
