Alright, let’s talk about this young fella, Joe Pyfer, and his wrestling. I ain’t no fancy wrestling expert or nothin’, but I can tell ya what I heard and seen, just like I’d tell ya ’bout the neighbor’s prize-winning pig.
So, this Joe, he’s from some place called Pittsgrove Township in New Jersey. Sounds fancy, huh? He went to a school, Arthur P. Schalick High School, that’s a mouthful ain’t it? Anyways, he didn’t start wrestling right away. Waited till tenth grade, maybe he was busy milkin’ cows or somethin’ before that. Heh!
Now, I heard tell he wrestled for some team, Penncrest Lions. They got stats and all that fancy stuff, but I ain’t gonna bore ya with numbers. All I know is, he was good, real good. Folks say he was a standout at Penncrest High and even wrestled in somethin’ called a PIAA championship. Big deal, I guess. Like winnin’ first prize at the county fair, but for wrestlin’.
This boy ain’t just a wrestler, though. He’s a fighter too. A MMA fighter, they call it. That means he punches and kicks and does all sorts of rough stuff. He’s 27 years old, strong as an ox, I reckon. They say he’s got nine wins by knockin’ folks out – that’s a KO, and three wins by makin’ ‘em give up – that’s a submission, whatever that means. Sounds painful.
- He joined this big fightin’ thing called the UFC. Big deal, like the Super Bowl of fightin’, I guess.
- His first fight in the UFC, he went up against a fella named Alen Amedovski. Won that one, I think.
- Then he fought some more, won some, lost some. Heard he lost one recently and folks were worried about what people thought. But I say, who cares what them city folk think? He’s a fighter, he gets back up. Just like a good ol’ rooster, always ready for another fight.
- And he’s gonna fight again, this time against a fella named Marc-Andre Barriault. Don’t know him, but I bet Joe’s gonna give him a good ol’ fashioned whuppin’. That’s scheduled for June 29, someone told me.
So, this Joe Pyfer, he’s a wrestler, a fighter, a tough fella from New Jersey. He works hard, gets knocked down, gets back up. Reminds me of my old mule, stubborn but strong. He’s got a good spirit, that Joe. I’d bet my last dollar he’s gonna keep on fightin’, keep on wrestlin’, and keep on makin’ folks proud.
Now, I ain’t sure what else to tell ya ‘bout this Joe Pyfer fella. He’s a wrestler, a fighter, and seems like a good kid, even though I’ve never met him. Just remember, it ain’t about how many times you fall down, it’s about how many times you get back up. And that Joe Pyfer, he sounds like a gettin’ back up kinda guy.
He’s young yet. Got a lot of fightin’ left in him. I reckon we’ll be hearin’ more about him for a long time to come. Just remember where you heard it first, from a plain ol’ woman who knows a thing or two about toughness.
