Alright, folks, let’s dive into the wild world of fantasy baseball team names. I’ve been playing fantasy baseball for years, and let me tell you, coming up with a good team name is almost as important as drafting a killer team. Almost.

So, this year, I decided to get serious about it. I started by brainstorming. Just sat down with a pen and paper (yeah, I’m old school like that) and jotted down anything that came to mind. Baseball terms, player names, puns, inside jokes… you name it, I wrote it down.
My initial list was, well, let’s just say it was a mess. A beautiful, chaotic mess. Plenty of terrible ideas, mixed with a few, maybe, possible, contenders.
My Brainstorming Process
- Classic Puns: The tried-and-true method. I played around with names like “Abreu’s Bagels” or “Sale of the Century”. They’re okay, but I needed something…more.
- Player-Specific Names: Using a star player on your team can be fun. I thought about “Judge and Jury”, but what happens when the judge gets injured? Or traded? Problem.
- Movie/Pop Culture References: This is dangerous territory. “Game of Throws” is okay, but it’s been done. You have to dig deep for this one.
- Completely Random Stuff: Sometimes the best names come from nowhere. I think I even wrote “The Fighting Toasters” on my list at one point.
I then use key word “fantasy baseball names” to serch on google, there are lots of ideas, but I don’t really like them, so boring.
After hours of research and some serious soul-searching, I finally had some good names:
- A-Rod’s Rad Roster.
- Vlad’s Bad Lads.
I think it is important to find the name that makes me laugh. Afterall, the season is long to play and I need to enjoy it.

Anyway, just wanted to share my little adventure in team-name land. Hope this helps some of you out there struggling to find that perfect name. Good luck this season, everyone!
