Okay, so, I’ve been wanting to make this UFC trivia game for a while now, and I finally got around to doing it. I’m a huge UFC fan, so this was a really fun project for me.
First, I gotta say, I spent a good chunk of time just brainstorming what kind of trivia I wanted to include. I mean, there’s so much UFC history, so many fighters, so many epic fights… It was tough to narrow it down! I ended up deciding to focus on a mix of stuff – some general knowledge about the organization, some questions about iconic fighters, and some about memorable matches. I wanted a good spread, you know?
Then came the actual making of the questions. I spent hours going through old fight cards, reading articles, and watching highlight reels. It was like a trip down memory lane! I tried to come up with questions that weren’t too easy, but also weren’t impossible. I wanted it to be challenging, but still fun. I figured the real fans would appreciate a good challenge. For example, I put a question about which current UFC champions are, which is pretty popular. Also, I tried to make some questions more interesting, like “What’s your Tattoo?” related to UFC fighters.
I played a few trivia games on some websites, like JetPunk and Sporcle, to get some inspiration. They have some solid UFC quizzes, and it gave me a better idea of what works and what doesn’t. Those two websites have a lot of UFC quizzes. One has 860 quizzes played 630,789 times. So I guess there are many UFC fans just like me.
After I had a good list of questions, I had to figure out how to actually build the game. Now, I’m no coding expert, but I know enough to get by. I decided to go with a simple setup. I found a free online quiz maker tool. I used that to put the questions and answers in. This is a simple way to make it and share it with others.
- Brainstorming: Thinking about what kind of trivia to include.
- Question creation: Researching and writing the trivia questions.
- Finding inspiration: Checking out other UFC trivia games online.
- Building the game: Choosing a platform and putting it all together.
Once it was all set up, I played through it a few times myself, just to make sure everything worked and to see if it was actually fun. Then, I sent it to a few of my buddies who are also big UFC fans. I wanted to get their feedback and see what they thought.
They really liked it! They said it was a good mix of easy and hard questions and that it really tested their knowledge. They even learned a few new things, which was cool. One of them said, and I quote, “Get ready to test your knowledge of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) with this action-packed trivia challenge.” I guess I did a good job, huh?
What I learned
Honestly, the whole process was a blast. It was a great way to combine my love for the UFC with my interest in making things. It just goes to show, if you’ve got an idea, just go for it! You might surprise yourself with what you can create.
And hey, maybe I’ll make another one of these down the road. There’s always more UFC trivia to explore!
