Alright, so I’ve been getting a ton of questions about whether you can throw down in UFC 4 with your buddies who are on different consoles. You know, like if you’re team PlayStation and they’re all about that Xbox life. So, I did a little digging, and I spent some time messing around with the game myself to figure this whole cross-platform thing out.
First, I launched UFC 4 on my PS4. I wanted to see firsthand what the online setup looked like. I jumped into the online mode and, well, I couldn’t find any options about cross-platform. It was like they didn’t even consider it!
So, next, I did some googling. The results were pretty clear but kinda disappointing. Every article I found basically said the same thing: UFC 4 doesn’t support crossplay. Bummer, right?
Then I thought, “Okay, let’s see if I can find any workarounds.” I spent a good chunk of time browsing through forums and Reddit threads, hoping someone had found a secret way to make it work. Nope. Nothing. Seems like the developers never included any functionality like this.
After that, I decided to test it out myself. I invited a friend who plays on Xbox to a private match. We tried everything we could think of, but no luck. We just couldn’t connect to each other’s games. It was a no-go.
Finally, I checked the official UFC 4 website and some other official sources just to be absolutely sure. And yep, they confirmed it too. No cross-platform play for UFC 4.
Here’s the deal:
- I fired up UFC 4 and poked around the online menus.
- I scoured the internet for any info on crossplay.
- I even tried to set up a match with a friend on a different console.
My conclusion: You can only brawl with folks who are rocking the same console as you. So, if you’re on PS4, you can only play against other PS4 players. Same goes for Xbox. It’s a bit of a letdown, but that’s how it is. I even got into some ranked matches. I mean those ranked matches are pretty fun if you’re into that competitive scene. The leaderboard grind is real, and you really gotta bring your A-game to win that championship belt, you know? And then defending it, man, that’s a whole other level of pressure. You get those gems for your belt, and it feels pretty sweet to show off your hard-earned bling. So, while the whole cross-platform thing is a no-go, there’s still a lot of fun to be had within your own console crew.
Hope this clears things up! Keep those gloves up and let’s hope for some cross-play in UFC 5, if they even make it.
