Okay, so this week I decided to mess around with Ty Chandler, you know, see what he’s all about in week 12. I’d heard some buzz, figured it was time to check it out myself.

Getting Started
First thing I did was just jump into some regular season games. Nothing fancy, just wanted to get a feel for him. I plugged him into my lineup, replacing my usual starter, which, admittedly, felt a little weird at first.
Putting Him to the Test
I started by running some simple plays. I wanted to get a good look on his speed and agility, how he was maneuvering around, and whether he could actually do something for me.
- First few carries: Honestly, felt pretty average. Nothing that blew me away. He wasn’t a slug, but he wasn’t exactly Barry Sanders either.
- Trying some different routes: I started mixing it up, tossing in some outside runs, a few screens. Wanted to see if he could catch the ball decently, too.
- Breaking some tackles?: This is where I started to see a little something. He’s not going to truck stick everyone, but he did manage to shake off a few tackles that I thought would bring him down.
The Real Deal
After a few games of just messing around, I wanted to see what would happen in a more “real” situation. So, I cranked up the difficulty a bit. Started playing against some tougher opponents. This is when i could see a little difference.
He did have a couple of decent runs. A few broken tackles and i started noticing that i could play him and get away with it.
Final Thoughts
So, after spending a good chunk of time with Ty Chandler, I have mixed feelings. He’s not terrible, but not going to be a starter for me. But he’s usable. He has some speed, and decent runs. I think he’ll do in a pinch.
