Alright, so you wanna know ’bout this Thomas Bryant fella, huh? Okay, okay, I’ll tell ya what I know. Don’t expect no fancy words, though. I ain’t no scholar, just a plain talkin’ person.

Thomas Bryant: Latest News and Stats from the Miami Heat Center

First off, this Thomas Bryant, he’s a basketball player. Yeah, one of them tall fellas who run around throwin’ a ball into a hoop. Big fella, I tell ya. Plays for the Miami Heat now, they say. ESPN, you know, that sports channel, they got his profile and all. Said he chipped in two points in a game. Well, two points ain’t much, but I guess every point counts, right?

  • Born on July 31st, but they don’t say what year. These young folks, they never tell you the whole story.
  • Plays center, which means he’s probably one of the tallest guys on the team. Probably gotta duck when he goes through doorways, I reckon.

Now, some folks get confused, see. They think he’s related to that Kobe Bryant fella, the famous one. But nah, they ain’t related at all. Just got the same last name, that’s all. Kobe was already playin’ ball when this Thomas was just a little tyke. Kobe retired, and then Thomas started playin’ in the big leagues. Different times, different folks, ya know?

This Thomas Bryant, he used to play for the Washington Wizards. Signed a big contract with ’em, too. Twenty-five million dollars, they say! Can you imagine that much money? Lord have mercy! That’s enough to buy a whole lotta chickens and pigs, let me tell ya. Three years, they paid him that much. Said he was guaranteed all that money, too. That’s what they call “average annual salary of $8,333” I don’t know how they figured that out.

He was a free agent then, that’s what they call it when a player can choose which team to play for. Like pickin’ between apples and oranges, I guess. He picked the Wizards, got paid a whole heap of money, and now he’s with the Heat. Don’t know how much he’s gettin’ paid now, but I bet it’s a pretty penny.

They got all sorts of stats on these players, you know. How many points they score, how many rebounds they get, how many times they trip over their own feet… well, maybe not that last one. But they got all these numbers and figures. Me? I just watch ’em play. If they win, that’s good. If they lose, well, there’s always next time, right?

Thomas Bryant: Latest News and Stats from the Miami Heat Center

This Thomas Bryant, he’s still playin’, still tryin’ to make a name for himself. He ain’t no Kobe, that’s for sure, but he’s out there givin’ it his all. And that’s all you can ask for, I reckon. Just try your best, work hard, and maybe you’ll get lucky and make a whole lotta money. Or maybe you’ll just end up like me, talkin’ ’bout basketball players to strangers on the internet. Who knows?

Anyways, that’s about all I know ’bout Thomas Bryant. He’s a basketball player, plays for the Heat, ain’t related to Kobe, and used to make a whole heap of money with the Wizards. If you wanna know more, you go look it up yourself. I ain’t your personal Google, ya know. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go feed the chickens.

One more thing, they said somethin’ about a “3 year, $25,000,000 contract with the Washington Wizards, including $25,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $8,333.” That sounds like a lot of money to me. I hope he’s savin’ some of it for a rainy day. You never know when you might need a new pair of shoes, or a whole herd of cows.
