Alright, let’s talk about them 2006 Sacramento Kings, ya know, the basketball fellas. Don’t know much about fancy stats or nothin’, but I remember watchin’ ’em on the TV. Good times, good times. This here’s about the 2006 Sacramento Kings Roster, so let’s get to it.
So, first off, we had Mike Bibby. He was a quick little fella, good at dribblin’ and passin’ the ball. Reminded me of a squirrel, always dartin’ around. Scored a lot of points too, he did. A real firecracker, that one. He was the main guy, the point guard they called him. Always had the ball in his hands, makin’ things happen.

Then there was Bonzi Wells. Now, Bonzi, he was a tough one. Strong as an ox, he was. Could drive to the basket and score, no problem. And he wasn’t afraid to get rough, ya know? A bit of a scrapper, but a good player. He could shoot the ball too, when he wanted to. He and Bibby, they were a good pair. Always knew what the other was gonna do. It was somethin’ to watch, I tell ya.
- Bonzi Wells – Shooting Guard/Small Forward
And let’s not forget about Ron Artest. Oh, Ron Ron. He was… somethin’ else. Strong as a bull and could defend like nobody’s business. But he had a temper, that one. Got into trouble sometimes. But when he was playin’ good, he was real good. Tough as nails, and he could score too, when he kept his head on straight.
- Ron Artest – Small Forward
Then we had the big fellas, the ones under the basket. Kenny Thomas, he was one of ’em. A good rebounder, he was. Always grabbin’ the ball after someone missed. And he could score a bit too, close to the basket. Not flashy or nothin’, but he got the job done. He was kinda quiet, didn’t do much showboatin’. Just played hard, that’s what I liked about him.
- Kenny Thomas – Power Forward
And Shareef Abdur-Rahim, another big fella. He was smooth, ya know? Had a nice touch around the basket. Could score from all over, he could. A real talent, he was. Injuries bothered him some, though, that’s too bad. He could’ve been even better, I reckon. I always felt bad for him when he got hurt. He was a nice young man, always polite.
- Shareef Abdur-Rahim – Power Forward
Then there was Brad Miller, the center. He was a big ol’ fella, but he could pass the ball like a guard. Amazing, it was. And he could shoot too, even from far away sometimes. A smart player, he was. Knew where to be and when. He wasn’t the fastest guy, but he was smart. That’s what made him good, I think.
- Brad Miller – Center
We also had some other fellas on the bench. Kevin Martin, he was a young fella then, but he could shoot the lights out. Always comin’ in and scorin’ points. A real sparkplug, he was. He got better later on, I heard. Good for him, I say. He was always hustlin’, even when he didn’t play much.
- Kevin Martin – Shooting Guard
Francisco Garcia, another young one. He could shoot too, and he was a good defender. Always tryin’ hard out there. He was a good kid, I think. Played with a lot of energy. I liked watchin’ him play, even if he wasn’t a star or nothin’.
- Francisco Garcia – Shooting Guard/Small Forward
And then there was Quincy Douby, another guard. He was fast, like a rabbit. Could dribble the ball real good. Didn’t play too much, but he was exciting to watch when he got the chance. Always tryin’ to make somethin’ happen, even if it didn’t always work out.
- Quincy Douby – Point Guard
Let’s see, who else we got? There was Justin Williams, another big fella. He didn’t play much, but he was there. Always cheerin’ on his teammates, that’s important, ya know. Gotta have fellas like that on the team.
- Justin Williams – Power Forward
And then Corliss Williamson, came back to Sacramento that year. He was older then, not as fast as he used to be, but still tough as nails. A good leader, he was. Everyone liked him, I think. He was a fan favorite, that’s for sure.
- Corliss Williamson – Small Forward
So, that was the 2006 Sacramento Kings roster, as best as I can remember it. They were a good team, ya know? Fun to watch. Didn’t win no championship, but they played hard and they gave it their all. That’s all you can ask for, really. They had some good players, and they had some tough players. And they had some characters, that’s for sure. It was a good year for basketball, even if they didn’t win it all. I enjoyed watchin’ them play, that’s for sure. They made Sacramento proud, I reckon.
