I tell you what, these young’uns and their internet, always on their phones lookin’ at somethin’. My grandson, bless his heart, he tried to show me these things called “rock memes”. Now, I like a good chuckle as much as the next person, but these rock memes, they’re a different breed.
I reckon “meme” is some kinda newfangled word for joke. So, there are rock jokes, I can understand that. I like rocks. Reminds me of the days when I was a little girl. I used to collect rocks. I even had a pet rock when I was a child. I took it everywhere I went, haha. So you see, I do know about rocks. But these rock memes, they’re a puzzle to me.
These rock memes got all sorts of pictures, you see. Some of ’em got pictures of actual rocks, all different shapes and sizes. Others got pictures of people, all dressed up like those rock and roll stars. My grandson, he said one of them was somethin’ called “Mafi Mafi Mushkila.” He said it was like sayin’ “no problem.” Kids these days, they pick up all sorts of things on that internet.
- One of them rock memes had a big ol’ rock, just sittin’ there. Underneath, it said somethin’ like “Me, waitin’ for you to get to the point.” I guess that’s supposed to be funny. Reminds me of waitin’ for my old man to finish tellin’ one of his stories. You know the kind, goes on and on. That is a funny rock meme.
- Then there was another one with a fella, all skinny and wearin’ sparkly clothes. He was holdin’ a microphone and makin’ a funny face. Underneath, it said somethin’ about “When you stub your toe.” I reckon that’s supposed to be what you look like when you hurt yourself. I guess I can see that, I stub my toe all the time, make a face just like that.
- There was another one, this rock meme had a picture of a lady. My grandson said she was in some kind of superhero movie. Somethin’ about seein’ the future, I don’t know. He said it was a real stinker of a movie, but this picture, this rock meme, was all over the internet. These kids, I tell ya.
I saw one rock meme, it was a picture of a rock, looked like it was smilin’. It said “When you’re a rock, but you still rock.” I thought that was kinda cute. Reminds me of myself, gettin’ up there in years, but I still got some pep in my step. These are some funny rock memes.
Another one had a fella with long hair, playin’ a guitar like he was really gettin’ into it. It said “When the music is so good, you start to see sounds.” I don’t rightly know about seein’ sounds, but I do love a good tune. Makes you wanna get up and dance. I used to dance a lot in my day. My old man, he could really cut a rug.
Then there was this rock meme, it was just a picture of a plain ol’ rock. Underneath it said “This is my favorite rock.” I reckon that’s the kinda humor these young folks like. Simple, you know? I kinda liked that one, too. Simple is good. Reminds me of the old days. No internet, no rock memes, just simple living, like these best rock memes.
My grandson, he showed me a whole bunch more of these rock memes. Some of them were about music, some of them were about, well, I don’t even know what they were about. But he was laughin’, so I guess they were funny. These are some funny rock memes after all.
He said there were tons of these rock memes on the internet, a whole collection of them. He said it was “the ultimate collection”. The best rock memes across the internet, that’s what he said. So many that you could spend all day lookin’ at ’em. That is a lot of rock memes. I guess if you’re into that kinda thing, that’s alright. I like the internet, I learned how to use it to look at pictures of my grandkids. So, I guess everyone uses it for different things.
I still don’t quite understand all these rock memes, but they’re alright. They make the young’uns happy, and that’s what matters. And who knows, maybe I’ll start findin’ them funny, too. You never know. One day I will understand what these best rock memes are all about.
Maybe these rock memes aren’t so bad after all. Maybe they’re like a good stew, a little bit of this, a little bit of that, all mixed together. And maybe, just maybe, they rock.
