Today, I’m gonna try to be the CEO of WWE, you know, World Wrestling Entertainment. Sounds crazy, right? But stick with me, it’s a wild ride.
Getting Started
First off, I dug into what a CEO actually does. Turns out, it’s a lot more than just bossing people around. I found out that a CEO is like the captain of a ship. They gotta set the direction, make big decisions, handle the money and people, deal with all sorts of relationships, and make sure everything’s on the up and up. That’s a lot of hats to wear!
Diving into WWE
Then, I started looking specifically at WWE. This company is huge! It’s owned by TKO Group Holdings, which is part of Endeavor Group Holdings. I read about Vince McMahon, who used to be the big boss. Man, that guy’s life is like a soap opera! He stepped down in 2022 because of some serious drama, and his daughter, Stephanie, and a guy called Triple H took over some of his roles. There is even a documentary about him, directed by Chris Smith. This is some heavy stuff!
My Day as (Imaginary) CEO
So, here’s how I imagined my day would go:
- Morning: I started with a big meeting with all the department heads. We talked about upcoming events, how to make them even more awesome, and how to keep our wrestlers safe and happy. It’s all about making sure everyone’s on the same page.
- Afternoon: I had a bunch of calls with sponsors and TV networks. It’s all about keeping them happy and making sure WWE stays on top. Also, I met with the creative team to brainstorm new storylines. Let me tell you, these guys are creative geniuses! It is a really busy afternoon!
- Evening: Time to watch some wrestling! I headed to a live event to see our talent in action and chat with fans. Their feedback is gold. Plus, who doesn’t love a good wrestling match?
What I Learned
This whole experience was eye-opening. Being a CEO, especially of a company like WWE, is no joke. There’s a lot of pressure, a ton of moving parts, and you’re always in the spotlight. You’ve got to be a leader, a strategist, a negotiator, and a bit of a showman, all rolled into one. It’s tough, but I can see how it would be incredibly rewarding.
I found out that Nick Khan is the President of WWE. This guy must be super busy, just like the CEO role I imagined for myself. It seems like a lot of hard work and responsibility.
In the end, I realized that leading a company like WWE is about more than just making money. It’s about creating something special, something that people love and get excited about. It’s about building a community and entertaining millions around the world. That’s a pretty awesome mission if you ask me.
Would I want to do this for real? Maybe one day. For now, I’m happy to just be a fan and share this little adventure with you all. Hope you enjoyed the ride!
