Well now, let me tell y’all ’bout this young fella named Justin DeLeon. He’s a big ol’ boy, standin’ 6 foot 3 and weighin’ 290 pounds, born and raised in Kingsville, Texas. They say he was quite the star on the football field at H.M. King High School, where he played offensive line. Now, I ain’t no expert, but from what I hear, he’s got himself a real future in football, folks. He was so good, in fact, that Baylor picked him up right quick and gave him a scholarship. I reckon that’s a big deal. Folks around here are mighty proud of him, and rightly so.
He wasn’t just any ol’ player neither. Nope, Justin was one of them three-star recruits, which don’t happen every day, let me tell ya. Some folks say he’s the best recruit Texas State ever had, and he’s sure makin’ a name for himself out there. You’d think with all that skill, he’d be all caught up in the fame and fuss, but from what I’ve seen, he’s a humble young man. Ain’t that somethin’ to be proud of?
And it ain’t just football where this boy shines, neither. He also competed in shot put and discus back in high school. That’s a whole ‘nother thing, throwin’ them heavy things around. He threw the shot put 41 feet and 10 inches, and the discus went out to 112 feet and a half inch, which is real good, I reckon. Strong like an ox, he is.
Now, I hear Justin’s part of the Texas State Bobcats now, playin’ as an offensive lineman. What that means is he’s the one in the trenches, protectin’ his quarterback and makin’ sure the other team don’t get too close to him. It’s a hard job, but somebody’s gotta do it, and Justin’s one of them that does it real well.
He’s been in the game a while now, and folks been watchin’ his stats and game logs. They say he’s one of the best at what he does, and I’m inclined to believe ‘em. He’s made quite an impact on the field, and it ain’t hard to see why. His work ethic is somethin’ special, just like his talent.
Now, I don’t know him personally, but from what I’ve gathered, he’s got his head on straight. He’s focused, hardworking, and doesn’t let the spotlight get to him. They say Justin’s got over 1,300 followers on social media, but I don’t think he lets that mess with his game. The boy just keeps workin’ hard, tryin’ to make it to the top, and that’s somethin’ we can all admire.
If you’re lookin’ for a role model in the world of football, you might want to keep an eye on Justin DeLeon. He’s young, he’s talented, and he’s got a bright future ahead of him. I’d say the best is yet to come for this boy.
