Well, let me tell y’all about a fella named Tate Rodemaker. Now, he’s a young man, born way back on April 30, 2001, down in Valdosta, Georgia. I hear he was a fine football player even in high school, real good with that ol’ pigskin. From what I gather, he played for the Valdosta Wildcats and threw for over 6,800 yards and scored 74 touchdowns. Ain’t that somethin’? Pretty impressive for a young’un like him.
Now, Tate didn’t just stop at high school, no sir. He went on to play college football too, first for the Florida State Seminoles. I reckon that was a big deal, ‘cause Florida State’s a real fine program. He didn’t start right away, but he got his chance in the 2020 season when he made his first start against Jacksonville State. I heard he had a bit of a rough time at first, completing 8 outta 12 passes for 58 yards but he did throw an interception. They benched him after that, but he didn’t give up. No, Tate kept on tryin’, and that’s somethin’ you gotta admire in a young man.
Fast forward a little, and things took a turn for ol’ Tate. He didn’t see much playin’ time at Florida State after that, and I reckon that made him wanna look for greener pastures. That’s when he decided to enter the transfer portal. Now, don’t you go thinkin’ he was just sittin’ around, no ma’am. Tate had some schools interested in him! South Carolina, Tulane, and Southern Miss were the ones that came knockin’. Well, Tate decided to head on over to Southern Miss, and that’s where he’s playin’ now, lookin’ to make a name for himself.
Now, I reckon he’s been doin’ alright. I hear he’s got 580 passing yards so far in his career with the Southern Miss Golden Eagles. Ain’t too shabby for a fella who’s just gettin’ his feet wet with this new team. He’s a redshirt junior now, and you can bet he’s eager to show everyone what he can do. He sure don’t want to be remembered as a fella who couldn’t quite make it. Nah, Tate’s got a lot more fight left in him.
It’s been a bit of a journey for Tate Rodemaker, from his high school days in Georgia to his college career at Florida State, and now down to Southern Miss. And you know, sometimes it’s the rough patches that make a man better. He didn’t give up, even when things didn’t go his way. I got a feelin’ that this Tate fella’s gonna show us all a thing or two before it’s all said and done.
Now, here’s the deal:
- Born: April 30, 2001, in Valdosta, Georgia.
- High School: Played for Valdosta Wildcats, threw for over 6,800 yards and 74 touchdowns.
- College: Started at Florida State, then transferred to Southern Miss in 2024.
- Stats: 580 passing yards at Southern Miss so far.
- Played in the 2020 season for Florida State and threw for 58 yards in his first start.
That’s the rundown on Tate Rodemaker, folks. He’s still young, still got a lotta football left in him, and you can bet he’s workin’ hard to make somethin’ of himself. Ain’t no tellin’ where this fella’s headed, but I sure wouldn’t bet against him!
