So, I finally got my hands on Tarnation in Destiny 2, and let me tell you, the grind was real. I’ve been wanting this thing for a while, and I heard it’s only dropped from the Wellspring activity, that new 6-player thing in Savathun’s Throne World. Alright, I thought, challenge accepted!
First thing I did was to jump into the game and headed straight for the Throne World. I spent like a whole week, grinding those Wellspring runs. You need to find a decent fireteam because Wellspring is not a walk in the park, you know. I teamed up with some random folks online, made a few friends along the way – shout out to those guys, by the way, you all were awesome!
We ran Wellspring again, and again, and again. It was tough. We wiped a few times, had some close calls, but we kept at it. The key is to really understand the mechanics of the activity and to cooperate with your team. I started getting the hang of it, where the enemies spawn, the best spots to take cover, the whole deal. I tried a few different weapons and load-outs to see what worked best in there. It took me a bunch of tries, but I eventually found a setup that worked well in Wellspring.
My Loadout
- Kinetic: I used a hand cannon for close-quarter combat.
- Energy: A fusion rifle for dealing with those tougher enemies.
- Heavy: I’ll come back to this in a moment.
Then, after countless runs, maybe even too many, it finally happened! That sweet Tarnation dropped. I was so stoked! I quickly checked the roll. It was amazing, absolutely what I was looking for!
Back to the heavy weapon, I switched to the Tarnation grenade launcher. The perks were just perfect. I got:
- Hard Launch: Increases the projectile’s velocity.
- Spike Grenades: More damage when it impacts directly.
- Clown Cartridge: Sometimes it overflows the magazine when reloading.
Man, it felt good to finally get it. All those hours, all those runs, it was all worth it. I took it for a spin in some other activities and it just shreds. It’s so satisfying to use, especially with that roll. I’ve been having a blast with it. So, if you’re after Tarnation, just be prepared to grind. It’s not easy, but trust me, it’s worth it in the end!
