Alright, so I’ve been messing around with my CS:GO crosshair lately, trying to get it just right. I saw Tarik playing the other day, and his crosshair looked super clean and precise, so I thought, “Why not give that a shot?”

First things first, I needed to find Tarik’s actual crosshair settings. A quick Google search didn’t really get many useful information and it took me some time. I also tried to get the setting by watching his stream record, pausing and playing, it was a pain.
After I got the settings, I opened up CS:* I hopped into a custom game, just me and the bots, so I could really get a feel for it without worrying about getting headshot every two seconds.
Initially, it felt… weird. I’ve been using a dynamic crosshair for ages, one that expands when I move and shoot. Tarik’s is static, meaning it stays the same size all the time. It took some getting used to, for sure.
The Adjustments
- Size: I found that setting was a bit too small for my liking, especially at longer ranges. I bumped it up just a tad, making it a little easier to see.
- Gap: The gap in the middle was also a bit too wide for me. I tightened it up a bit.
- Outline: I added a thin outline to make the crosshair stand out a little more against different backgrounds.
After tweaking these few things, I started to feel much more comfortable. My aim felt snappier, and I was hitting shots I probably would have missed with my old crosshair. It’s still a work in progress, and I’m sure I’ll continue to fine-tune it, but for now, I’m pretty happy with the results.
So, yeah, that’s my little crosshair adventure. If you’re looking to change things up, I definitely recommend trying out some pro player settings. You might be surprised at how much of a difference it can make!
