Okay, let’s talk about getting that “Saving the Mole” quest done. It’s one of those Therapist tasks on Streets of Tarkov that can be a real pain, but I finally managed to knock it out.

Prepping for the Run
First thing, I accepted the quest from Therapist. Knew I needed to head into Streets and grab that secured case from the Terragroup office inside the Lexos building. Streets is always a mess, so I didn’t want to go in super geared, but also didn’t want to be totally helpless.
My loadout was pretty standard for a risky run:
- A trusty AK-74N, modded just enough to be decent. Nothing too fancy that would make me cry if I lost it. Loaded with BP ammo, gotta have something that punches.
- Level 4 armored rig. Something like the AVS or TV-110. Good protection, good space.
- Basic helmet, the SSh-68 usually. Cheap, sometimes saves your life.
- Big backpack. Needed space just in case I found other goodies, but mainly for the quest item itself if needed, though I think it goes in the special slot. Still, good practice.
- Meds: Cheese (AI-2), bandage, splint, maybe a CMS kit if I felt rich. Painkillers are a must.
The key was balancing cost versus effectiveness. Didn’t want to donate a million rubles kit to some Chad hiding in a corner.
Into the Streets
Loaded into Streets. Got a spawn near the Pinewood hotel area. Not ideal, Lexos is a bit of a trek from there. Had to cross some open areas. Started moving cautiously, sticking to cover as much as possible. Streets is loud; you always hear shooting, so you gotta try and figure out where it’s coming from and avoid it if you can.
Made my way towards the Lexos building. Checked corners constantly. Listened. You hear footsteps, you freeze. That’s the rule. Saw a couple of player scavs running around near the Concordia side, but they didn’t spot me. Managed to slip past them.

Getting into Lexos itself can be tricky. Lots of windows, lots of angles. Went in through one of the ground floor entrances, the one closer to the Klimov Street side. Cleared the ground floor lobby area slowly. Heart was pumping a bit, always expecting someone around the next corner.
Finding the Mole’s Stash
Headed up the stairs. The Terragroup office is on the upper floors. More careful clearing. Room by room. It’s tedious, but better than getting shot in the back.
Found the right office. It’s got that broken window you can look out of. The quest item, the case, was right there on the desk like the intel said. Grabbed it quick. Secured item acquired. Now, the hard part – getting out alive.
The Escape
Okay, got the item. Didn’t want to linger. Decided the Sewer River extract wasn’t too far, seemed like the quietest option usually. Sneaking back out of Lexos was just as nerve-wracking as going in. Heard some shooting break out near the main entrance, sounded like players fighting Scavs or maybe each other. Decided to detour and go out a different way, towards the back.
Made my way towards the river area. It was eerily quiet for a bit. Too quiet. Then saw a player running across the street way ahead. Ducked behind a burned-out car. He didn’t see me, kept going. Phew. Close call.

Reached the Sewer River extract point. Checked around, no obvious campers. Popped smoke just in case, dove into the extract zone. Waited for that timer to tick down. Longest seconds ever, felt like.
Task Complete
Extraction successful! Got back to the stash screen, saw the checkmark next to the task. Big sigh of relief. Went straight to Therapist in the menu, turned in the secured case. Done. Finished. Another quest off the board.
It wasn’t the craziest run ever, actually went smoother than I expected. Sometimes you just get lucky on Streets. But yeah, that’s how I got “Saving the Mole” finished. Just took patience, careful movement, and a bit of luck not running into the wrong people at the wrong time.
