Well, I spent some time today messing around with this “Puzzle Master SBC” thing in that EA FC 25 game. It’s one of those Squad Building Challenges, you know? This one’s part of a bigger set called “League and Nation Hybrids”. It sounded like a good time, so I decided to give it a shot.
So, I jumped into the game and started looking at what I needed to do. The whole point of this one is to put together a squad with players from six different countries and five different leagues. Sounds easy enough, right? Wrong! It’s a bit trickier than it looks at first glance. You gotta find players that fit those rules but also have good chemistry with each other. I learned that chemistry is super important in this game and is affected by whether players share a club, a nation, or a league.
First, I went through my collection, seeing who I already had that might work. I quickly figured out that focusing on players from the same country and league was the way to go. So I picked a bunch of German guys playing in the Bundesliga. I figured, “Hey, that covers one country and one league, piece of cake!”
Building the Squad
- Started with a solid German goalkeeper.
- Added a couple of German defenders from the same Bundesliga club for that sweet chemistry boost.
- Tossed in a couple of German midfielders, also playing together in a Bundesliga club.
I was feeling pretty good about my German core. Then came the hard part: fitting in the other five countries and four leagues without messing up the chemistry. I spent a good chunk of time scrolling through players, trying different combinations. It was like a real puzzle, just like the name says. I tried slotting in a couple of English guys from the Premier League, but that messed up the links with my Germans. Then I tried some French players, but no luck there either.
Finally, after a lot of trial and error, I managed to find the right mix. I ended up adding some players from Argentina, Brazil, England, France, and Portugal, all from different leagues. It took some serious finagling, and I had to use a couple of those position change cards to make everyone fit, but I eventually got it all to work. I even made sure to use up those loyalty bonuses on seven of the players that needed it.
It was a real brain teaser, but I finally cracked it! It felt pretty darn good to see that green checkmark and know I’d completed the challenge. My thumbs were tired, my eyes were blurry, but I had finally figured it out.
It was a fun challenge, and I learned a lot about building squads and chemistry in the process. This Puzzle Master thing, it’s not for the faint of heart, but it’s definitely rewarding when you finally figure it out! This is definitely one of those times when you feel like you really earned that virtual pat on the back. Maybe tomorrow I’ll tackle one of the other challenges in the set, like that “Fiendish” one.
