Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about these here “street trash t-shirts.” I ain’t no fancy city slicker, but I know a thing or two about clothes, ya know? Gotta wear somethin’ on your back, ain’t that right?
Now, I seen these shirts around. Some folks call ’em “street trash,” some folks just wear ’em. Don’t much matter to me what you call it, long as it covers ya up. But I heard tell these shirts is kinda popular, like them rock and roll singers wear.
What’s the big deal, you ask? Well, from what I gather, it ain’t just any old shirt. It’s gotta have that… that “look.” You know, like it’s been dragged through the mud, maybe got some rips and tears. Some of ’em got pictures, skulls and stuff. Not my cup of tea, but the youngsters, they seem to like it. Kids these days, I tell ya!
I seen some folks sellin’ ’em on the internet, on that “E-bay” thing. They say you can get a good deal, money-back guarantee, all that jazz. And they ship it right to your door! Imagine that, buyin’ clothes without even leavin’ your house. Times sure have changed.
- Styles: I heard they got all kinds, v-necks, round necks, short sleeves, long sleeves. Somethin’ for everyone, I guess. You can even get ’em with your favorite wrestler on ’em, they say. Judgement Day somethin’ or other. Don’t know nothin’ about that.
- Where to find ’em: Like I said, there’s that E-bay, and then there’s other places online, they say. Independent artists makin’ ’em, sellin’ ’em all over the world. Hard to believe, ain’t it? And if you want somethin’ special, you can even get a custom-made one. Put your own picture on it, or whatever you want.
- Movie shirts: Then there’s these “street trash movie t-shirt” ones. Guess they got movies about this kinda stuff too. Not my kinda flick, all that blood and gore. But some folks like it, so they make shirts about it. To each their own, I say.
Now, what happens when you’re done with these shirts? Well, most folks just toss ’em in the trash, I reckon. That’s a shame, if you ask me. All that perfectly good cloth just sittin’ in a landfill. I heard tell you can donate ’em, give ’em to charity. Homeless folks could use a shirt, even if it’s got a skull on it. Animal shelters too, they use ’em for rags and stuff.
Some folks, they recycle ’em, make new shirts outta old ones. That’s pretty clever, I think. They call it “upcycling” or somethin’. Saves money and helps the planet, so they say. And there’s this “R-PET” stuff, shirts made outta old plastic bottles. Who woulda thunk it?
Now, don’t go thinkin’ I’m some kind of expert on this here “street trash” fashion. I’m just an old woman, tellin’ ya what I heard. But I tell ya what, a shirt’s a shirt. Keeps ya warm, keeps ya decent. And if it makes ya feel good, well, that’s all that matters, ain’t it? Whether it’s got a skull on it or not.
So, if you’re lookin’ for a “street trash t-shirt,” go ahead and get yourself one. Just don’t forget where it came from, and don’t forget to do somethin’ good with it when you’re done. That’s what I say.
