Okay, so I’ve been wanting to make some custom sweatpants for a while now, and I finally decided to do it. I’m a huge Hornets fan, so naturally, I wanted to make some Hornets sweatpants. I wasn’t sure where to start, but I knew I wanted them to be unique.

Finding the Right Material
First things first, I needed to find some plain sweatpants. I went to a bunch of different stores, looking for the perfect color and fit. I wanted something comfortable, not too baggy, not too tight. Finally, I found some basic gray sweatpants that seemed like they’d work great. They were pretty cheap, too, which was a bonus.
The Design Process
Next up was figuring out the design. I played around with a few ideas, sketching some stuff on paper. I knew I wanted the Hornets logo, but I also wanted to add some personal touches. I thought about maybe adding some stripes or maybe even my initials. It took a while to finalize a design I was truly happy with. I’m not the best artist, so it was a lot of trial and error!
- First attempt: Just the logo. Too simple.
- Second attempt: Logo and stripes. Still felt like something was missing.
- Third attempt: Logo, stripes, and a little “buzz” text. This was it!
Getting the Design On
Now for the tricky part: actually getting the design onto the pants. I considered a few options like fabric paint but I didn’t do it. finally, I tried iron-on transfers.I printed my design onto the transfer paper, carefully cut it out, and then ironed it onto the sweatpants. I had to be super careful to get it lined up right and make sure it adhered properly. It took a few tries to get it perfect, but I was so excited when it was done. It was a bit nerve-wracking, not gonna lie. I definitely messed up a couple of times and had to peel off some misaligned transfers.
The Final Result
I’m so stoked with how they turned out! They’re exactly what I wanted: custom-made Hornets sweatpants that nobody else has. Plus, I made them myself, which makes them even cooler. It was a fun little project, and now I have some awesome new lounge wear. Now to the test. wearing them and feeling great!
