Hey guys, so I had another go at those Sea of Thieves forts today. Let me tell you, it was a bit of a mixed bag, but definitely worth sharing.
First off, I jumped into my ship and set sail. The seas were pretty calm, which is always a good start. I spotted a fort in the distance—the Royal Crest Fortress, to be exact. It looked pretty clean, not all overgrown and spooky like some of the others. The flags were up, so I knew it was active. As I got closer, this eerie green light started glowing, and I could hear the warning bell. That’s when the Phantoms started firing cannons at me. Cheeky buggers.
- Approached the fort carefully, dodging a few cannonballs.
- Anchored my ship and prepared for a fight.
Now, for the weapons. I’ve found that a pistol and blunderbuss combo works best for me. The pistol is great for picking off those ghostly Phantoms from a distance, and the blunderbuss? Well, that’s just perfect for when they get too close for comfort. Especially useful for dealing with the captain, let me tell you.
Inside the fort, I started exploring. I decided to go floor by floor, checking every nook and cranny. I was on the lookout for the Fortress Store Room Key. This time, I searched through cabinets, cupboards, and crates. There are many of these on each floor, so it took a while. I didn’t want to miss anything, so I took my time. One tip I picked up from the forums was to check outside as well. Apparently, the key can spawn there too. I didn’t find it outside, but it’s good to know for next time.
Fighting the Phantoms
The Phantoms were relentless, but honestly, it wasn’t too bad. Compared to those endless waves of skeletons in other forts, this was a breeze. I took them out pretty quickly, moving from room to room. I kept an eye out for the key while fighting, multitasking like a pro.
Finally, after clearing out most of the Phantoms, I found the key! It was hiding in one of the cabinets on the second floor. Grabbed it and headed straight for the store room. Inside, there was a decent amount of loot—nothing too crazy, but still worth the effort. Gathered everything up, loaded it onto my ship, and sailed off into the sunset.
All in all, it was a successful run. These Sea Forts are a nice change of pace. They’re quicker to complete than the other forts, and the loot is pretty good. If you’re looking for a quick adventure, give them a try. Just remember to bring your blunderbuss, and happy sailing!
And that’s all for today’s sharing. See ya!
