Okay, let’s talk about what I did with this “Resource Run” thing in Monopoly GO. I saw that this event was gonna be running for two days, starting June 7th. I figured, “Why not?” and jumped in to see what the fuss was all about.
So, first thing I did was look at the rewards and milestones. You know, trying to figure out what I could get from this event. It wasn’t some big secret, the list of rewards and milestones is floating around. I saw that I could earn points to unlock stuff, and the final milestone seemed pretty sweet—up to 4, whatever that meant.
Next, I started playing. I just rolled the dice, trying to land on anything that would give me those points. It’s Monopoly, so of course, I was buying properties left and right. I mean, that’s what you’re supposed to do, right? Buy everything you can, always. That’s what I kept reminding myself.
- Rolling and buying: Every time I rolled, I aimed to buy properties. If I landed on something I already owned, I was happy to collect that rent.
- Houses, not hotels: I remembered hearing somewhere that houses are better than hotels, so I focused on getting houses whenever I could.
- Staying on the offensive: When I was playing against someone, I tried to use those “Rent” and “Sly Deal” cards right away. I wanted to keep them from building up their bank too quickly.
I also had to be a bit careful not to land on too many of the expensive properties. I mean, who wants to go broke, right? It’s all about balancing that luck with a bit of planning.
Honestly, it felt like a lot of luck. Sometimes I’d get a good streak, other times not so much. But that’s Monopoly for you. I kept at it, trying to hit those milestones and get those rewards.
After a couple of days of playing, I managed to unlock some of the milestones. I didn’t get to the very end, but I still got some decent stuff. It wasn’t too bad for a two-day event. I felt pretty good about the progress I made, even if I didn’t win the whole thing.
Did I win the whole thing?
Nah, not really. But I got some rewards, learned a bit more about how these events work, and had a bit of fun along the way. And that’s what counts, right? At least, that’s what I’m telling myself.
