Alright, so I’ve been playing MLB The Show 24 for a while now, and let me tell you, things weren’t going as smoothly as I’d hoped. I started off with the Red Sox, you know, hoping to make it big, hit some dingers, and maybe even win a World Series or two. But man, was I in for a rude awakening.
I was struggling at the plate, striking out more often than I’d like to admit. The manager, he had me playing out of position, which didn’t help one bit. So, I thought to myself, “Maybe it’s time for a change of scenery.” I remembered in the old games, you could just tell your agent you weren’t happy and wanted a trade, but guess what? That option’s gone now in MLB The Show 24. Vanished. Disappeared.
I did some digging, trying to figure out how to get myself traded to a different team. It turns out, it’s a bit more complicated now. I went into the “Road to The Show” mode, thinking that’s where I’d find the answer. I poked around the menus, and finally stumbled upon the “My Player” section. From there, I clicked on “Interactions.”
- First, I tried talking to my agent. I found the option to “Call Agent” and thought, “This is it!” But nope, all he did was give me some generic advice. No trade request option in sight.
- Next, I figured maybe I should talk to the manager. So, I went back to the “Interactions” menu and looked for anything related to him. I saw an option that said “Request Meeting with Manager.” I thought, “Alright, let’s see what this does.”
- Finally, I met the manager. I selected “Request a Trade,” and he said he’d consider it, but warned me it wasn’t guaranteed. At least it was something.
So, that’s where I’m at now. Waiting to see if my trade request actually goes through. It’s not as simple as it used to be, but hey, I’m not giving up. I’ll keep you folks updated on what happens next. Maybe I’ll end up on a team where I can finally shine. Or maybe I’ll just keep grinding it out with the Red Sox. Who knows? That’s the beauty of the game, right?
Wish me luck, folks, ’cause I sure need it. And if any of you have figured out a better way to get traded, let me know in the comments. We’re all in this together, trying to make our way to the big leagues, one way or another.
