That Chad Kelly, he’s a football player, you know? Plays for that Toronto team, the Argonauts. He got himself in a big ol’ mess, that boy. Got suspended, they call it. Can’t play for a while. Something about what he said, I reckon. He say sorry now though, hope he learn something from this.
Heard he’s the best paid in that whole darn league, too. Makes more money than a body knows what to do with, I tell ya. Chad Kelly, that’s his name. And he’s related to some other famous football fella, Jim Kelly. Big name, that one. But this Chad, he messed up. Got in trouble for saying somethin’ he shouldn’t have. I don’t know all the details about what did Chad Kelly say, but it was bad enough to get him benched.
They say he’s supposed to be learnin’ his lesson now. Stayin’ away from the team for a bit. Trainin’ camp, they call it. He won’t be there. Probably sittin’ at home, thinkin’ about what he did. Hope he’s thinkin’ real hard. ‘Cause a fella with that much money and that much talent, he oughta know better. You know, Chad Kelly said some bad words and now not play football.
I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout it down at the market. They were sayin’ it had somethin’ to do with a lady who used to work for the team. A coach, maybe? I don’t rightly know. But it sounds like he said somethin’ mean to her. Somethin’ about, well, I don’t even like to repeat it. It’s just not nice. And now she’s suing him, or the team, or somebody. It’s a whole big mess, I tell ya. What did Chad Kelly say? I don’t know the words, but it sure stirred up a hornet’s nest.

This whole thing, it just goes to show ya. Money and fame, they don’t make you smart. And they sure don’t make you a good person. You gotta watch your mouth, no matter who you are. Especially when you’re in the public eye like that Chad Kelly fella. Every little word you say, it gets picked apart and talked about. What did Chad Kelly say? Well, everybody’s got an opinion on that now, don’t they?
I remember back in my day, we didn’t have all this social media and whatnot. If you said somethin’ stupid, it might spread around town, but it didn’t go no further than that. But these days, you say one wrong thing and the whole world knows about it. It’s a different time, that’s for sure. You gotta be extra careful what you say, whether it is written or not. And this Chad Kelly, he’s learnin’ that lesson the hard way. He’s got all that talent, all that money, but he let his mouth get him in trouble. Now he’s gotta sit on the sidelines and watch everybody else play. That’s gotta be a tough pill to swallow. Hope he’s using this time to reflect on his actions. I think he broke his leg too or something, that make it even worse, you know.
I don’t know what else to say about it. It’s just a shame, that’s all. A young fella like that, throwin’ away his career over some careless words. What did Chad Kelly say that was so bad?
