Okay, so everyone’s been talking about the Purdue vs. UConn basketball game, and I finally got around to watching it and figuring out what all the fuss was about. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much, I just wanted to follow and try.

Get Started
First things first, I had to find a way to watch the game. I don’t have cable, so I searched online for some streaming options. Found a few, some looked kinda sketchy, but I finally settled on one that seemed legit. It was a little annoying with the pop-up ads, but hey, free is free, right?
The Game Itself
The first half started, and, man, it was a back-and-forth kind of situation! Purdue’s big guy, you know, Edey, was a beast in the paint. UConn kept trying to double-team him, but he was still getting his points and rebounds. UConn, on the other hand, was relying more on their guards, hitting some pretty sweet three-pointers.
- I spent some time trying to understand the basic rules of the game, and strategies.
- Kept pausing and rewinding to catch some of the faster plays. I’m not gonna lie, I had to Google a few things, like what a “charge” foul was.
By halftime, I was actually getting into it! The score was pretty close, and I was starting to understand some of the strategies each team was using. Purdue was all about getting the ball inside, while UConn was trying to spread the floor and shoot from outside.
The second half, though? That’s where things got REALLY interesting. UConn came out firing, hitting shot after shot. Their defense also stepped up, making it tougher for Purdue to score. Edey was still doing his thing, but UConn’s guards were just too much.
In the end, Uconn won, I watched the game and I could kind feel the cheer in the air!

My Takeaway
I am very glad that I tried to follow this game, even if it took a long time. I will continue to follow and try more new things in the future.
