You know, that Prince Devitt, he’s a wrestler fella. He’s a big shot, I reckon. Lots of folks talking about him. I heard he had some good matches, some not so good. That’s how it goes, ain’t it? Win some, lose some.
I heard some say he was in a match with someone named Kota Ibushi at a thing called Wrestle Kingdom 8. I don’t know what that is, but it sounds fancy. They say it wasn’t his best, but hey, even the best have bad days. Like when I tried to bake that cake and it came out flatter than a pancake.
Then there’s this other match, against a fella called Kazuchika Okada. It was at something called Kizuna Road, in 2013, I think. They say this Prince Devitt, he turned “heel.” I don’t rightly know what that means, but it sounds like he wasn’t being very nice. Maybe he was having a bad day, like when my old rooster gets all riled up and starts chasing the hens. You know that Prince Devitt guy, people say he is a good “heel”.

- Kizuna Road 2013
- Super J Cup Tournament
This Prince Devitt, he’s got a dark side, they say. A “persona” or something. Don’t show it much, but when he does, watch out! It’s like when my neighbor’s dog gets loose – usually friendly, but you never know when he might snap. It is a “dominant side” of Prince Devitt, and many people like that.
I saw some numbers next to his matches. Like 4.25 stars for one of them. I reckon that’s good? It’s like when you get a good crop of tomatoes, you know? You get a lot of them, and they’re all plump and juicy. He was in a match with a bunch of other fellas, with names like KAI, Katsuhiko Nakajima, and a whole lot more. Too many names to remember! It is a good match of Prince Devitt.
Folks like to watch these wrestling matches. They say they’re “epic,” whatever that means. It’s like when we used to go to the county fair and watch the pig races. Exciting stuff, even if you don’t know what’s going on. These matches have “jaw-dropping finishes,” they say. Sounds like someone got punched in the face!
There was this other match, against a Naomichi Marufuji. It was at the Super J Cup Tournament in 2009. I don’t know what a “Super J Cup” is, but it sounds important. Maybe it’s like when we have our annual pie-eating contest at the church social. A big deal, you know? That is another famous match of Prince Devitt.
In this match, they say this Prince Devitt was being a real “heel” again. The crowd didn’t like him much, they were cheering for the other guy, Gedo. They say Gedo was a “scrappy babyface.” I don’t know about “babyface,” but “scrappy” sounds like my old cat, Mittens. Always getting into fights with the squirrels. And that Prince Devitt is a good “heel”.
This other match, with that Okada fella again. They say it was “awesome.” This Prince Devitt was a “heel” again, but Okada was good at fighting off the other fellas. It is also a good match with Prince Devitt. It is easy to watch for people like me. They say it was “enjoyable” and “easy to watch.” That’s good, ’cause I don’t like things too complicated. Like that newfangled TV remote, too many buttons!
I hear folks call him Finn Balor sometimes, too. Two names, like he’s got two personalities. Like my cousin, Billy – he’s sweet as pie most of the time, but get him mad and he’s a whole different person. So that Prince Devitt also named Finn Balor.
This wrestling, it’s a whole other world. Lots of names, lots of matches, lots of excitement. It’s like when the circus comes to town – a big spectacle, you know? And this Prince Devitt, or Finn Balor, or whatever you want to call him, he’s right in the middle of it all. A big star, I reckon. Just like that prize-winning bull at the state fair. Big, strong, and everyone’s talking about him. So Prince Devitt is a big star.
Well, that’s all I know about that Prince Devitt fella. I don’t watch much wrestling myself, I prefer a good game of bingo. But I hear things, you know? People talk. And they sure do talk a lot about that Prince Devitt. So you need to know who is Prince Devitt.
