Well, howdy folks! Let’s jaw about this basketball game, the Denver Nuggets versus them Portland Trail Blazers. I ain’t no expert, mind you, but I watched the whole thing, and I can tell ya what I saw.
First off, them Nuggets, they’re pretty darn good. They got this fella, Nikola Jokic. Big ol’ fella, but boy, can he play! He’s like a dang octopus out there, hands everywhere, passin’ the ball, shootin’ the ball, grabbin’ every rebound. I swear, he don’t miss nothin’. One game I saw, he had somethin’ like 27 points. Another time, it was 29 points, 15 rebounds, and 14 assists! Can ya believe that? And he even gets some steals and blocks in there too. He’s a one-man show, I tell ya. Makes me wonder if he ever gets tired.
- Nikola Jokic is a key player for the Nuggets.
- He scores a lot of points, rebounds, and assists.
Now, them Trail Blazers, they ain’t doin’ so hot. They lose more than they win, seems like. They got some fellas who can shoot, but they just can’t seem to keep up with the Nuggets. They were playin’ at home, in Portland, but that didn’t help ’em none. They lost three games in a row at home before this one. I heard somethin’ about them bein’ 2 and 4 against teams in their own division, the Northwest somethin’-or-other. Sounds like they got some work to do, that’s for sure.
This game, it was kinda like the other ones I seen between these two. The Trail Blazers, they start off strong, get a big lead, maybe ten points or more. But then, the Nuggets, they just come stormin’ back. They got too much firepower, I reckon. Jokic starts doin’ his thing, and the other fellas start hittin’ their shots, and before ya know it, the Nuggets are up by a bunch.
I heard tell that one of the Nuggets’ good players, Jamal Murray, he didn’t even play this game. Something about his leg bein’ sore. But even without him, them Nuggets were too much for the Trail Blazers. That just shows ya how good they are, I guess.
If you wanna know more about how these teams have done against each other before, you can look it up. I don’t know how to do all that fancy computer stuff, but my grandkids, they’re always lookin’ up stuff on them phones. They say you can find all sorts of things, like who won the last ten games, or who scored the most points. I just watch the game and tell ya what I see.
One thing I noticed is that the Nuggets are doin’ real good this year. They’re up near the top of the Western Conference, whatever that is. The Trail Blazers, they’re way down at the bottom. So, it ain’t no surprise the Nuggets won. But hey, that’s basketball. Sometimes the underdogs win, but not this time.
The game was played in Portland, Oregon. That’s a long ways from here, I reckon. I ain’t never been out there. But I hear it’s a nice place. Maybe someday I’ll go see a game in person. But for now, I’ll just watch it on the TV. It’s cheaper that way, and I don’t have to deal with all that traffic.
So, that’s my take on the Nuggets versus Trail Blazers game. Nuggets are good, Jokic is a star, and the Trail Blazers need to figure somethin’ out. It ain’t rocket science, folks. Just plain ol’ basketball.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. All this talk about basketball made me hungry. Maybe I’ll have some fried chicken and mashed potatoes. That sounds good, don’t it?
Anyways, that’s all I got to say about the Denver Nuggets and the Portland Trail Blazers match. Hope ya’ll enjoyed my little ol’ take on it. Remember what I said now, Jokic is one heck of a player, and them Nuggets are a tough bunch to beat. Them Trail Blazers got some work to do if they wanna keep up. And that’s the long and the short of it. You take care now, ya hear?
