Okay, so today I decided to tackle something I’ve been putting off for a while: figuring out if I had “plenty arisen to go round” – basically, did I have enough stuff to actually make something useful?

First, I dug through my storage bins. It was a mess! Old projects, half-finished ideas, and a whole lot of “what was I even thinking?” moments. I pulled out anything that looked remotely promising: some old wood scraps, a bunch of mismatched fabric, and a box of random hardware I’d been hoarding.
The Sorting Process
- Started by separating everything into categories: wood, fabric, metal, and “mystery stuff.”
- Tossed anything that was clearly unusable – broken bits, dried-up paint, you name it.
- Organized what was left into smaller, more manageable piles. This took a while, I’m not gonna lie.
Then came the fun part (sort of): trying to figure out if any of this junk could actually be combined into something… anything! I spent a good hour just staring at the piles, trying to visualize potential projects. My brain was buzzing with ideas, some good, most pretty terrible.
I grabbed a notebook and started sketching. Nothing fancy, just rough outlines of things I thought I could maybe, possibly, build. I had a few ideas for some simple shelves from the wood, maybe a patchwork cushion from the fabric, and… well, the hardware was still a mystery.
After that, I think get some new idea for my box, maybe I can make it becaome a new useful box. I used some wood and hardware, measured my box size, cut wood, assemble them. After few hours, I finally get a new box for my work tools.

So, in the end, did I have “plenty arisen to go round”? I guess so! It wasn’t pretty, and it definitely took some effort, but I managed to turn a pile of random stuff into something, a new box. It’s not perfect, but it’s mine, and it’s proof that sometimes, you really do have enough to work with, you just gotta get creative.
