Alright, so I wanted to see for myself what all the fuss was about these high-elevation stadiums in MLB The Show 23. I’d heard that hitting home runs was easier, and, well, who doesn’t love smashing dingers?

First, I jumped into the game. I went straight to the stadium selection screen. I had to find the one everyone talks about: Coors Field. I mean, it’s famous for being up in the mountains, right?
Finding the Right Spot
Coors Field, that’s the place. Apparently, it sits at 5,200 feet above sea level! That’s way higher than any other park in the majors. So, I picked that one.
Testing it Out
I started a game, just a quick exhibition match. I wasn’t even focusing on winning, honestly. I just wanted to see if the ball really flew further. I picked a team with some good hitters, you know, guys known for their power.
- First batter up, I swung, and BOOM! The ball just soared.
- It went way further than I usually see in other stadiums. I’m talking easy home run.
- I kept trying, different hitters, different swings. It felt like every solid hit was a potential homer.
My Takeaway
Seriously, it’s crazy. The ball really does travel further. It’s like the air is thinner or something, so there’s less holding the ball back. I’m no scientist, but that’s what it felt like. If you wanna feel like a home run king, play at Coors Field in the game. You’ll see what I mean!
It’s kind make sense.I did some quick look and it says because of that thin air, the ball is travelling further than at sea level.

So, that was my little *-elevation stadiums, especially Coors Field, definitely make hitting home runs way easier. It’s kind of fun, even if it feels a little like cheating!
