Oh boy, what a day I had planned out! It was all about catching the Philadelphia Phillies versus the Washington Nationals game. I am a huge baseball fan, and this matchup is always a good one.
First things first, I had to get those tickets. I have heard that some people got their tickets from SeatGeek, so I decided to check out their website. The prices there were okay, but then I remembered hearing about TickPick promising no service fees and the best prices. So I jumped over to TickPick to compare. It is a good thing I did that, because the prices there were a bit better, and true to their word, no extra fees! After comparing a few options, I snagged a couple of tickets.
- Checked SeatGeek for tickets
- Compared prices on TickPick
- Purchased tickets with no service fees on TickPick
Next up was figuring out the game details. I needed to know when and where this showdown was happening. From what I gathered, the game was at Nationals Park, which, if I am not mistaken, is somewhere along the Anacostia River in Washington, D.C.’s Navy Yard area. Looked pretty cool from the pictures I saw online – supposedly it is one of those fancy LEED-certified green stadiums.
So, I went back to the internet. Looked up the Phillies’ schedule and found the date for the game. It turned out to be the final game of a three-game series. Perfect! I also saw that Aaron Nola was set to pitch for the Phillies – he is a beast on the mound!
With the tickets and game details sorted, I did a bit more digging on Nationals Park. I was curious about the seating. Apparently, if you are rolling in dough, you can sit right behind home plate in the Diamond Club. Those seats cost a small fortune – anywhere from $150 to $500 a pop! I also found out that Diamond Club ticket holders get to use a private entrance. Fancy!
Game Day Prep
On the day of the game, I made sure to wear my lucky Phillies cap. I also grabbed my glove, just in case a foul ball came my way. You never know, right?
- Wore lucky Phillies cap
- Brought my glove for potential foul balls
I made sure I arrived at the stadium plenty early. Nationals Park was quite a sight. The atmosphere was electric, with fans from both teams buzzing with excitement. I grabbed a hot dog and a soda from a vendor – a ballpark must-have – and found my seat.
The game itself was a nail-biter! It was intense, with both teams giving it their all. Trea Turner from the Phillies and Luis Garcia from the Nationals really stood out. In the end, it was a day to remember. A great game, a great atmosphere, and a great experience overall. Can’t wait for the next one!
