You know, folks, let me tell you about Phil Mickelson and his wife, Amy. They’ve been together a long time, over 26 years now! Met way back when they were in college, all the way back in the ’90s. I heard they met at Arizona State University, and Phil was already a senior there. Now, don’t get me wrong, I don’t know much about fancy colleges and all that, but I reckon that’s where the story started.
They got married in 1996, and since then, they’ve been through thick and thin, just like any old couple, sticking together no matter what. People say Amy Mickelson, or Amy McBride as she was known back then, has been real good to Phil. She’s supported him from the start, even followed him around to all them golf tournaments. Now, that’s love, ain’t it? Being by your man’s side, cheering him on, even when he’s out there hitting them golf balls all day long.
Amy ain’t no stranger to doing good deeds neither. She’s been involved in a lot of charity work, helping folks wherever she can. Seems like she’s got a big ol’ heart. I heard she’s always been a big fan of Phil, too. She’s been right there through all his ups and downs, like when he was playing in all them major tournaments. From the Masters to the Open Championship, Amy was there, supporting him, just like any good wife should.

Now, I heard that back in 2017, something happened with Phil and his long-time caddy, Bones. They decided to part ways, after all them years together. Bones had been with Phil since 1992, carrying his clubs in nearly every major tournament. They did pretty well together, too. But, like with everything else in life, things change, and people go their separate ways. Don’t know exactly why, but that’s just the way it goes sometimes.
Even so, Amy Mickelson stuck by her man through all of it. She didn’t leave, didn’t take off running, and you gotta respect that. Not many people can say they’ve been together for that long, through all the highs and lows. They’re still going strong, and that’s something to be proud of.
So, who is Amy Mickelson? Well, she’s a wife, a mother, and a philanthropist. She’s been Phil’s biggest supporter, and she’s walked alongside him through his whole golfing career. Doesn’t matter what happened in the past or what might come in the future, Amy and Phil are a team, and they’ve been one for a long, long time.
There’s something to be said about folks who’ve been married that long. It’s not always easy, but it sure is something special.
