There’s this other referee, Clete Blakeman. He’s been doin’ this for a long time, 17 years they said. That’s a heap of football games, if you ask me. He and his crew are gonna be at the Giants and Saints game. Folks are sayin’ there might be a lot of flags in that game, ’cause apparently this Clete fella, he likes to throw them flags. Clete Blakeman, that’s another name to remember. Sounds like he’s gonna be busy.

Seems like a lot of fuss over whistles and flags to me, but what do I know?
Anyway, that’s the gist of it. They got referees, they got crews, they got assignments. Week 14 NFL games, that’s what they’re talkin’ about. And it matters, apparently, who’s wearin’ the stripes. So, next time you’re watchin’ the game, you might wanna pay attention to that ref. He’s got a lot more say than you might think.
