Well, now, you wanna know about them baseball teams, the MLB ones, in that alphabet order? Shucks, that’s easy as pie. I heard it on the radio the other day, so my old brain remembers it pretty good. All them MLB teams, all lined up nice and neat, like peas in a pod.
First off, you got them Angels. Angels, like up in the sky, you know? They’re one of them MLB teams. Then comes them Astros. Sound kinda space-age, don’t it? Like them rockets and such. Then there’s the Athletics. What that word means, I ain’t too sure, but it’s a baseball team, that’s what matters.
Next up is them Blue Jays. Pretty birds, blue jays. I seen a few in my day. Then, hoo boy, you got them Braves. Brave like a, like a… well, a brave person! They gotta be brave to play all that baseball, runnin’ around in the sun. After that, there are Brewers. That makes me think of drinkin’, but they’re a baseball team, not a beer makin’ place.
Then we got them Cardinals. Another bird team. Red birds, them Cardinals. Pretty things. And then, oh, them Cubs. Like baby bears, you know? Cute little fellas, but they play baseball good, I reckon. Next up, them Diamondbacks. I heard someone say that’s a kinda snake, that sounds scary!
- Angels
- Astros
- Athletics
- Blue Jays
- Braves
- Brewers
- Cardinals
- Cubs
- Diamondbacks
- Dodgers
And after the Diamondbacks, you got them Dodgers. Dodgin’ the ball, I guess! Then there are the Giants. Big fellas, I bet. Gotta be big to be called a Giant. Then there is Guardians. They gotta guard the bases, I reckon. Following them is the Mariners, sounds like they should be on a boat, not a baseball field.
Next is Marlins. There was some talk about it, someone said it’s a fish, a big one. Then you got them Mets. Not sure what a Met is, but they’re a team, that’s for sure. Nationals is next, guess they are important to the nation, that’s what it sounds like. Then come Orioles, another one of them bird teams. They are pretty too, orange and black, I heard.
- Giants
- Guardians
- Mariners
- Marlins
- Mets
- Nationals
- Orioles
Then there is Padres, sounds kinda fancy. Phillies is next, wonder if they’re from Philadelphia, that big city. Then you got them Pirates. Argh, matey! Just kiddin’. But they are one of them MLB teams, the Pirates. Then there’s the Rangers, like them cowboy fellas, maybe? I think they’re from Texas. Rays is after that, like sunshine rays, I suppose. Then come the Red Sox, that’s an easy one, red socks, that’s what they wear, I guess.
- Padres
- Phillies
- Pirates
- Rangers
- Rays
- Red Sox
After them Red Sox, you got them Reds. Lots of red teams, ain’t there? Then there is the Rockies. Must be from where all them big rocky mountains are. Then, Royals. Must be like kings and queens, them Royals. Tigers comes next, they must be fierce, like them big cats. Then there are Twins, must be two of somethin’. And last but not least, the White Sox, I guess their socks are white then, not red. It is easy to remember.
- Reds
- Rockies
- Royals
- Tigers
- Twins
- White Sox
There you have it. All them MLB teams, in alphabetical order. There are 30 of them. That’s a whole heap of baseball teams! They are divided into two groups, American and National. And those groups are divided into three parts, East, Central, and West. Seems like a lot of dividin’ if you ask me. They’re all playin’ baseball, though, that’s the main thing. I heard they changed something in 2012, moved a team, that Astros team, from one place to another. Don’t rightly know why, but they did. They say this baseball thing is the oldest sport in the US, older than me even! Hard to believe, ain’t it?
And that’s all I know about them MLB teams in order. Hope that helps you out some. It’s a lot to remember, but there it is. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I think I need a nap. All this talkin’ has wore me out!
