Alright, so I fired up Hades 2 the other night. You know how it is, got that itch to delve back into the Underworld, see what Melinoe’s up to. Pretty quickly, I noticed I was running low on Psyche, that green ghosty stuff.

Needed More Green Stuff
My Arcana cards felt kinda weak, honestly. Felt like I was hitting enemies with wet noodles sometimes. Looked at the upgrades, and yep, needed a good chunk of Psyche to unlock more slots or power up the ones I had. So, that became the mission: farm Psyche.
Starting the Grind
First few runs, I wasn’t really paying attention, just picking whatever boon or reward looked coolest. Died a lot, didn’t get much Psyche. Typical. Then I realized, “Okay, gotta focus.” Started actually looking at the door symbols before choosing a room.
It’s pretty simple, right? See the little green ghost symbol, go through that door. Easier said than done sometimes. You might have a Centaur Heart right there, looking all tempting, or a Chaos gate even. But nope, had to stick to the plan. Green ghosties only, if possible.

Just Keep Running
So I started doing runs specifically for Psyche. Picked the Witch’s Staff ’cause I’m comfortable with it, good for clearing rooms quick without thinking too much. Cleared a room, looked for the green symbol. If it wasn’t there, I’d just pick the fastest route to the next chamber reward. Felt a bit like doing chores, not gonna lie. Run, fight, check doors, repeat.
- Clear room.
- Scan doors for green icon.
- Choose green icon path.
- If no green icon, pick quickest exit.
- Repeat until dead or back at the Crossroads.
Some runs were decent. You’d get maybe two, three rooms offering Psyche in Erebus. Felt good, like making progress. Then you’d have runs where it felt like the game knew I wanted Psyche and just refused to offer it. Got offered loads of Darkness, Bones, even some nice Boons, but no green stuff. Super frustrating, especially when you get ganked by a Satyr or something while thinking about resource icons instead of dodging.
Finally Getting Somewhere
Took a few hours, spread across a couple of sessions, just grinding like that. Watch the little Psyche counter slowly tick up back at the Crossroads. It wasn’t exciting gameplay, mostly just zoning out and clearing rooms. But eventually, I got enough to unlock that next Arcana slot I wanted.
Was it worth the grind? Yeah, probably. The extra Arcana power definitely helped on the next few runs where I actually tried to make progress. But man, farming specific resources can really turn the game into a bit of a slog sometimes. Anyway, got the Psyche, got the upgrade. Back to actually trying to beat Chronos now, maybe I’ll have better luck.
