Okay, so I’ve been trying to get better at predicting football match outcomes. It’s tough, but I figured, why not try with the Aston Villa vs. Everton game? Here’s how I went about it, and, well, it wasn’t exactly smooth sailing.

First, I looked at the recent form. You know, just scrolling through past results. I saw that Aston Villa had some decent wins, but also a couple of shaky performances. Everton? Pretty much the same – a mixed bag of results. This didn’t really help me much, to be honest.
Then, I tried to find some head-to-head stats. This was slightly more useful. I found out that Villa and Everton have had some pretty close matches in the past. Lots of draws, a few wins for either side. Still, nothing that screamed “this team will definitely win!”

Next, I thought about injuries and suspensions. This is where things got a bit messy. I spent ages trying to find reliable team news. One website said one thing, another said something completely different. I eventually pieced together a rough idea of who might be playing, but I wasn’t 100% confident.
Feeling a bit lost, I just went with my gut. I figured Villa were playing at home, so they might have a slight advantage. I also remembered Everton had a bit of a dodgy defense recently. So, I predicted a 2-1 win for Aston Villa. Just a hunch, really.
Was I right? Well the game ended, It was a total disaster. My prediction was way off. Villa actually played fantastic. It just shows how much I still have to learn about this whole prediction thing! Back to the drawing board, I guess.
