Alright, alright, lemme tell ya ’bout this… this… “anniversary bash monopoly go” thingy. Heard the young’uns talkin’ ’bout it, so I figured I’d poke around and see what all the fuss is about.
So, this “monopoly go,” it’s like that board game we used to play, the one with all the fake money and houses? Yeah, that one. But this one’s on them fancy phones, see? And this “bash,” well, it’s like a big ol’ party they’re havin’ ’cause… ’cause it’s been a whole year since this phone game started, I reckon.
This “bash” started on April 14th, 2024, mark my words. Don’t ask me how I know, just heard it from them youngsters, always clackin’ away on them phones.
Now, what happens at this “bash”? Well, it ain’t like our town picnics, that’s for sure. No potato salad or fried chicken here. Instead, ya gotta… ya gotta earn points. Yeah, points. Like collectin’ stamps or somethin’.
- First off, ya gotta play the game, I guess. Roll them dice, buy them properties, the whole shebang.
- Then, ya get these points for doin’ stuff in the game. Like landin’ on a certain spot, or buildin’ a house, or maybe even stealin’ money from your friends, I dunno. Them young’uns are shifty.
- And the more points ya get, the more… the more “milestones” ya unlock. Sounds fancy, right? Like findin’ buried treasure or somethin’.
And what do ya get for unlockin’ these “milestones”? Well, that’s the kicker. They say ya can get up to… get this… up to 14! Fourteen what, ya ask? I ain’t got a clue. Maybe it’s 14 dollars, or 14 candies, or maybe even 14 new hats for your little game pieces. Them young’uns and their games, I tell ya.
It all sounds like a lot of hootin’ and hollerin’ over nothin’ to me. Back in my day, we had real fun. We’d go dancin’, we’d go fishin’, we’d even have them good ol’ fashioned pie eatin’ contests. None of this “point” collectin’ and “milestone” unlockin’ nonsense.
But hey, to each their own, I always say. If them young’uns wanna spend their time clickin’ away at their phones, lettin’ ’em. Just as long as they don’t forget to come visit their grandma every now and then, and maybe bring me a slice of that store-bought cake they like so much.
This “monopoly go” thing, it seems like a whole lotta work for nothin’ much. But I guess it keeps them young’uns busy, and out of trouble… mostly. And this “anniversary bash,” well, it’s just a way to get ‘em even more hooked, I reckon. They dangle these “milestones” and “points” in front of ‘em, like carrots in front of a mule.
Anyhow, that’s the gist of it, as far as I can tell. A big to-do over a phone game. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go water my petunias. That’s somethin’ that actually gets ya somewhere, ya know? Pretty flowers, nice smell… beats chasin’ after fake money any day of the week.
So, to recap, this anniversary bash started April 14, 2024, and you get points for playing, these points unlock milestones and the last milestone you could get up to 14… whatever that means. Like I said, young people and their games.
