Alright, let’s talk about this “MLB The Show 24 March to October”, or whatever they call it. Folks keep jabberin’ about it, so I figured I’d poke around and see what the fuss is all about. Now, I ain’t no fancy gamer, you hear? I just like things simple and straightforward, like a good ol’ pot of beans.
So, this “March to October” thing, it’s like you’re playin’ through a baseball season, but not the whole shebang. You jump in when your team needs a win, when things get important, you know? Kinda like skipping all that boring stuff in the middle and gettin’ right to the good part. That sounds alright to me, I ain’t got all day to sit around watchin’ fake fellas play ball.
Now, some folks say it’s good for gettin’ those “Team Affinity” points or somethin’. Sounds like a bunch of hooey to me, but I guess if you’re into collectin’ all them fancy cards and whatnot, it might be worth somethin’. They say you get some kinda points and experience, but if you lose, well, that’s all you get. Seems like a gamble, but life’s a gamble, ain’t it? You plant them seeds, you hope for rain, but sometimes the darn ground just stays dry.
- Some folks are askin’ if it’s faster than playin’ them mini-seasons. Well, I reckon that depends on how good you are at this here game. If you’re winnin’ all the time, maybe it’s faster. But if you’re losin’ left and right, you might be better off stickin’ to them mini-seasons. They say it’s good to get a head start on some program, but I ain’t got the patience for all that grindin’. Give me a good game, win or lose, and I’m happy.
They also went and added some fancy new things, like customizin’ when you jump into the game. I guess that’s alright, gives you more control or somethin’. But me? I just wanna play ball, I don’t need all them bells and whistles. It’s like adding too many spices to the stew, sometimes you just want the taste of the meat and potatoes, you know?
Now, is this game worth the money? That’s the real question, ain’t it? Folks sayin’ it ain’t perfect, got some glitches and whatnot. And if you already played last year’s game, well, this one ain’t much different. But if you like baseball, and you got that “Game Pass” thingy, I guess it’s worth a try. Me? I’d rather spend my money on a good pair of work boots than some fancy video game. But to each their own, I always say.
They say the game is fun, though, and that’s what matters, right? You get to play as some famous fella, or even a lady ball player, which is somethin’ new I hear. And you get to feel the excitement of a baseball season, even if it’s just a pretend one. It’s like listenin’ to the radio play of a game, you ain’t there in person but you can still feel the excitement if the announcer is good enough.
So, if you’re lookin’ for a way to pass the time, and you like baseball, this “March to October” thing might be just the ticket. But don’t go expectin’ miracles, you hear? It’s just a game, and life’s got plenty of other things to worry about. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on them chickens. They’re probably hungry, those little squawkers always are.
Overall, from what I gather, this here game ain’t the worst thing in the world, but it ain’t the best neither. It’s like a decent crop, not the best yield you’ve ever had, but enough to get you through the winter. If you got the time and the money, give it a whirl. If not, well, you ain’t missin’ out on too much. That’s my two cents, anyway.
And remember, whether you’re playin’ a video game or plantin’ corn, the important thing is to enjoy what you’re doing. Life’s too short to be fussin’ over things that don’t matter. Now, go on and have yourself a good day, you hear?
