Okay, so I was super pumped about the Medvedev vs. Zverev match. I mean, it’s the semifinals of the Australian Open! So, the match was scheduled for Friday. I had my snacks, my comfy chair, all set.
I was looking all over for where to watch it. Turns out, 9Now in Australia was showing it for free. Lucky them! Here in the US, ESPN was the place to be. I had to make sure I had access to ESPN.
Preparation
First thing I did, I double-checked my ESPN subscription. Thankfully, I was all good there. Then, I went around to see if any of my friends were also watching. You know, it’s always more fun with company, even if it’s just through text.
Watching the Match
When the match started, I was glued to the screen. It was intense! I had to switch between ESPN and ESPN3 because they were showing different angles and stuff.
- Getting into it: I was yelling at the TV, cheering, the whole deal. It was like I was right there in the stadium.
- Making the right call: The ESPN commentators were pretty good. They were giving all these insights that I wouldn’t have noticed on my own.
- Keeping track: I was also keeping an eye on the live scores online, just to make sure I wasn’t missing anything.
After the Match
After it was over, I was just buzzing. I hopped online to see what everyone else was saying about the match. Forums, social media, you name it. It was cool to see everyone’s reactions and compare them to my own thoughts.
This whole experience, it was just great. Not only did I get to watch an awesome match, but I also learned a lot more about tennis and how these big tournaments work. I can’t wait for the next one!
