Okay, so today, I was messing around with this crossword puzzle thing. The title got me thinking, “plan part crossword.” Sounds a bit weird, right? So I started digging into it.
First, I searched around to see what this “plan part” thing was all about. Turns out, it’s a clue that shows up in those crossword puzzles, you know, the ones in newspapers and stuff. Apparently, it’s been used quite a few times, like ten or something. And there are a bunch of related clues, too.
Then I found out there are tons of answers for a clue like “make”. People have come up with like 30 or even 60 answers! Some of them are pretty obvious, like “create” or “build”, but others are a bit trickier.
I started with trying to solve some of these “make” clues. I found a site that had a bunch of answers, with four-letter words like “earn,” “cre8”, and even one from last April. I wrote them all down, just to see how many I could get.
Next, I looked for the specific “plan part” clue. One website said it was last seen in a USA Today puzzle, and they had 40 possible answers in their database! That’s a lot! So I printed out a few crosswords from this other site that has like, thousands of them.
I grabbed a pen and started filling in the squares. I tried to use the answers I found online, but some of them didn’t fit. It was like a puzzle within a puzzle! I kept at it, though, and eventually, I managed to fill in a few of the grids.
It was actually kind of fun, once I got the hang of it. It’s like a little mental workout. Plus, you feel pretty smart when you finally figure out a clue that’s been bugging you. It was a pretty chill way to spend an afternoon, and I think I’ll try it again sometime.
